Max was silent for a moment, before shaking his head.

"Ah, no." he said.

"I don't believe so." he told her.

"Oh, but he can be a tad boisterous." he then said, referring to Leon.

"He's a lycan. And they can roughhouse." he told her further.

"Well, that's one of the reasons I'M here." Jaden commented.

"I can take it." he said proudly, before looking at Desiree.

"Name's Jaden Sherwood." he introduced himself.

"And I've heard good things about your shows." he complimented her.

Leon's eyes widened when he saw what was presented to him.

"Woooooah!" he said, clearly amazed.

"Cooool!" he exclaimed, taking it.

"What's it do!?" he asked her, but before she could answer, he turned towards his mother.

"Mommy!" he yelled, waving the rod in her direction.

Max froze when Desiree introduced herself, and stepped inside.

"D...Desiree...?" he whispered, as she walked further in.

"Desiree..." he repeated, looking at her.

"It.. it can't be." he stammered, as Leon looked towards her.

"Hi!" he said to her.

"I'm Leon! I'm 5 today!" he announced to her further.

Max was silent as the woman said what she did, and looked at him with her seemingly soul-piercing gaze.

"Ah..." he stammered.

"Yes. Yes, you are." he told her.

"I'm Max. Cheryl is my wife." he said further.

"You must be the magician we scheduled." he commented, to which she nodded.

"What shall we call you?" he then asked, stepping out of the way so she could enter.

"I'll get it." Max said, before heading off.

As he did, Leo made his way over towards Jaden.

"You smell like a vampire." he said.

"That's because I kinda am." Jaden responded.

"But you also smell like a human." Leon commented further.

"That's because I kinda am." Jaden repeated.

"...are you a damper?" Leon then asked.

"It's pronounced Dhampir." Jaden said. "But yes, I am." he confirmed.

"Yeah! Damper!" Leon insisted.

"Yeah!" Leon replied happily.

"It IS!" he said.

"Welcome back." Sydney then heard her son say to them.

"Jaden showed up while you were away." Max told her. "He helped us get things done more quickly." he explained.

"Decided to make myself useful." Jaden reasoned.

Leon shrieked with excitement as they fell back into the portal, and disappeared.

When they did, Max sighed again, before making his way further into the house.

"We caught a break, Cheryl." he told his red-haired wife.

"Sydney's keeping Leon entertained in Australia for a bit. We have time to finish decorating this place and getting it ready, without him getting in the way."

Leon was almost vibrating with excitement, as he thought about it.

"Ahs... Ows... astra..." he said further, trying to get it out.

"Australia?" Max asked.

"Yeah!" Leon responded happily.

"Thank you for this, Sydney." Max then said to the vampire.

"From both Cheryl and I."

"Jaden?" Max asked.

"He's the help you got?" he asked her.

Sydney just nodded, and Max chuckled.

"Fair enough." he said.

"LEON!" he called into the house.

"Sydney wants to play some games with you!" he said.

That's when they heard rapid footsteps heading towards them, and the little boy with dark brown hair raced into sight, and pounced into Sydney's torso.

"SYDNEY!" he squealed excitedly.

Before Max could answer, they heard his son running about, seeming to have endless energy.

The man was silent, and then sighed.

"Sydney, you can be a life-saver." he told her.

"He just won't calm down." he said.

"It's.... unreal."

About 15 seconds later, the door was answered by the man himself.

"Hey Sydney." Max greeted her.

"Come on in." he said, stepping out of the way.

"Didn't expect you this early." he admitted.

"Dear, Sydney's here!" he then called into the house.

Jaden raised an eyebrow.

"Eh? Another magician?" he asked.

"I see." he said.

"Interesting..." he mumbled, thinking about it.

"Well, guess I'll see when I get there." he commented.

"And I'll see YOU when I get there."

Jaden rolled his eyes.

"Of course." he said.

"Figures." he muttered.

"But okay, okay." he said further.

"I'll do it." he said, smelling the coffee.

"Where is it, and what time do you need me?" he asked her.

"Admittedly, I don't know exactly where Max lives."

Jaden froze when his mother said what she did.

He then sighed deeply, and removed his arm from the hole.

"Awwwww hell." he muttered.

"It could have been SO easy." he said.

"Also... a wolf...?" he then asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Wait... is that what you were on the phone about earlier?"
