Jaden raised an eyebrow when she said what she did, but shook his head.

"Remind me to ask about that later." he said.

He then stepped through the portal he created, and they appeared at OLA, where he approached a doctor.

"Excuse me." he told the female.

"My friend was attacked by a fire mage, and she needs her burns tended to."

Jaden nodded in response.

"Yeah, sure." he replied.

"Hmmm..." he mumbled, before gingerly picking her up in his arms.

"I'll portal us there now." he told her.

"............and sorry...." he then apologized.

"I feel responsible for this..."

Jaden just stepped out of the portal, and had it close behind her.

"Shut it." he hissed at her.

"I don't want to hear it." he said.

"It's people like YOU that make me reconsider being a magician." he then spat at her.

"I have now memorized what you look like. So if I ever DO resign... I'll be sure to let people know it's your fault." he added, before he opened the door and threw her out.

"She has assaulted Miss McCormick." he told the security guard.

He then turned, and made his way towards Desiree.

"How hurt are you?" he asked her, concern in his tone.

Desiree's attacker was completely caught off guard by the tornado, but the whirlwind soon dissipated when Desiree couldn't keep the focus on it.

She growled at the woman, before forming fire in her hands again.

"Cute trick." she said.

"But it won't save you!" she declared, winding her arm back to throw it... only for a hand to shoot out of the portal that had just appeared, and grab it.

"But -I- will." Jaden replied, stepping out of it.

The female seemed to grow even angrier now.

"I know his name because we are SOULMATES in the darkness!" she exclaimed.

This told Desiree all she needed to know. This female was, in fact, a stalker.

The young woman then started to form orbs of red fire in her hands, and jumped back slightly.

"You could never understand that!" she exclaimed.

"Jaden is who he is meant to be, and you are ruining him!" she declared, tears of anger running down her cheeks.

"He'll thank me for this later!" she then exclaimed, before launching the fire at Desiree.

"I know EXACTLY who you are." the female hissed.

"You're ruining our beloved Jaden." she told her.

"Sabre is one with the darkness. He shows his mastery over the shadows, and bends them to his will." she said further, sounding almost infatuated.

"But YOU... YOU'VE been around him." she then hissed.

"You're turning him away from the darkness. From US." she said further, her eyes widening slightly.

"You are DESTROYING him!"

The guard nodded.

"Very well." he told her.

"Let me know when you're ready to go." he said.

With that, Desiree stepped inside and closed the door behind her.

She went and sat down again, but when she did, the one behind the boxes raced out behind her. They clamped a hand over her mouth, and grabbed one of her wrists, holding it tightly.

"Scream, and die." the female hissed.

He just nodded.

"Come on." he said.

As they walked off to get her the water, a figure watched from the shadows. They waited until both the guard and Desiree were out of sight, before slipping up towards the door to the 'dressing room'.

They then slipped inside, looked around, and hid behind a small stack of boxes in the corner of the room.

"Now we wait..." they mumbled.

After a couple of seconds, there was a knock on the door.

"Miss Desiree?" she heard one of the security guards call in.

"Would you like something to drink?" he asked.

"An ice water or something?" he asked further.

The security guard had been one of the more personable and friendly ones she'd met, and he seemed to genuinely care about the performers at the venue.

Rene nodded in response.

"Fair enough." he said.

"Makes sense." he muttered.

"Well, eat up." he told her.

"I'll make sure you can be discharged by tomorrow evening." he assured her further.

"Aaaaand.... that's it, I think." he then said.

"You seem to be recovering nicely. No complications or anything."
Posted in Of Rosaries and Vampires Posted 6 years ago
Rene scratched at his chin a little, and then nodded.

"All right, fair point." he said.

"Well, if you're sure about this." he said further.

"At least you'll be going to a nice place for your stay." he went on.

"...wait, have you ever been to his place before?" he then asked her.
Posted in Of Rosaries and Vampires Posted 6 years ago
Jaden nodded and left, causing Rene to sigh.

"Well, then." he said.

"You all right with this, Desiree?" he asked.

"I know I played it up earlier, saying it was perfect, but... are you okay with this?" he repeated.

"Living with a vampire... or dhampir... can be unnerving if one isn't prepared or ready." he went on.

"Just remember, we'll do all we can for you if this doesn't work, or you don't feel safe."
Posted in Of Rosaries and Vampires Posted 6 years ago
Jaden thought for a moment, and nodded.

"Tomorrow works." he said.

"I should have things set up by then." he told her.

"Excellent." Rene replied.

"I'll get the paperwork moving, so it'll be as smooth as possible." he said.

"I think I'll go and get things ready, then." Jaden commented.

"Desiree, I'll see you tomorrow." he told Desiree.
Posted in Of Rosaries and Vampires Posted 6 years ago
"That's what I said." Rene replied with a smirk, as he brought the tray over. On it was her favourite soda, some pizza and garlic bread, as well as a brownie.

"Anyway, I can let you out of here tomorrow, as I'm sure you're wondering about." he then commented.

"Tomorrow evening, anyway." he said.

"That work for you?" he asked her.

"Or do you need me to extend your stay a bit?"
