"That's fine and all, but... you don't really have to do that with me." he responded.
"Just... yeah, don't. I'm not... I mean I don't... well..." he stammered, before shaking his head a little, and sighing deeply.
"Right. Why I saved you." he said.
"Well, firstly, I could just tell you meant no harm." he told her. "Judging from your clothing, you've been spending a LOT of time on Earth." he continued.
"And... I just felt like I ought to." he went on.
"Like, if I didn't, then ultimately, things would be easier for Vyran." he then said. "It'd be delayed, but... in the long run, easier." he finished.

"Ah?" the elf stammered, before shaking his head some.
"Ah... ah... please..." he said. "Please don't... do that." he told her.
"Seriously, don't. I hate it." he muttered, clearly flustered and embarrassed, as his tone suggested, and his red face showed.
"Just... look, I get it. And I guess you have to look good in front of the tribe, but... just... just stand up, okay?" he asked, looking around once more.
"Seriously. I'm no better than you, despite what this world has to say." he then said further.

When she looked around, she saw them milling about again, until one saw her.
He then called out excitedly, which started a chain of them relaying the message from one to the next. And that had led to a bad time, last it happened.
However, before she had a chance to consider running away, or trying to, they quieted down, and seemed to back away a bit from the elf that was approaching, making a clear path for him.
He smiled when he was close to her, and then sighed.
"Sorry about that." he said in english, to her surprise.
"I'm glad I was here at the time, and managed to get them to stop before you died." he commented.
"Here." he then said, handing her a water skin.
"Don't worry, it's water. And it's perfectly clean, as well as ice cold." he assured her.
"How are you feeling?" he asked.

Just as she felt the darkness creeping in, she heard a voice.
It was frantic, and it was panicked. She couldn't understand a word of it, but swore she heard 'Vyran'.
However, the darkness crept further and further in, and she felt the world become black once more, before she could hear any more.
When she awakened again, she wasn't where she expected to be. She thought she'd be in some sort of afterlife, but instead, she was in a bed.
A primitive bed. Odds are in one of the huts in the village.

Just then, she saw more figures approaching. One was the messenger from earlier, one was the elder, and the third was the completely different, elven one.
The elf looked at Calysta, trapped in her cage, and froze when he saw her.
'What the!?' he thought, as the elder continued.
Once they had approached the others, they started to say something. It was long-winded and seemed to drone on, and even though she couldn't understand it, she could guess it was a prayer of sorts.
Just as they were finishing, the torches were brought to the kindling, and the fire was lit.

The people that were in the hut, that were having the conversation, appeared to be the elder of the tribe, and another individual that looked completely different.
He was taller, had paler skin, and his ears were pointed, like an elf's.
"My apologies, but I fear that I must attend this sacrifice." the elder said to their guest. "Besides, you seem to look a little out-of-sorts." they then commented.
The elven individual was silent for a moment, before he shook his head.
"Ah, it's... it's all right." he replied. "May I attend this as well?" he asked, using their own tongue, to which he was quite fluent in.
"We would be honoured!" the elder replied.
'What is this feeling?' the elf thought. 'I sense... something. Something... familiar, but at the same time... I have no idea what...' he thought further, as he looked out the door of the hut.
Meanwhile, Calysta had woken up, to find herself in a crude stone cage. But even though it was crude, escape was impossible. She also noticed that she was suspended about 4 feet above the ground, and that below her appeared to be a large fire pit, which the tribe had just filled with twigs, grass, and kindling.
And now they were standing around it, with torches in their hands, as though waiting for something.

After about a minute, she recalled SOMETHING that her father had said.
She remembered that this tribe was known as the Kynba tribe, and that they revered nature and the planet they lived on. And that they were VERY suspicious of outsiders.
However, just as she remembered this, she felt something in her neck. Something that felt like a sharp sting.
When she brought her hand up to see what it was, she pulled out what looked to be a dart... sure enough, from a blowpipe that one of the tribesmen was holding to their mouth.
And that's when everything around her started to swim and become dark.

The beings ushered her through the forest, making their way past trees, bushes, and shrubs, until they entered what appeared to be a fairly large and quaint village. The houses were constructed from logs and grass, and the ground that surrounded them had been trampled down from use.
Many of the people were milling about, and she could tell that they were people, now. They had hair, two eyes, a nose, a mouth. They just seemed to be more primitive humans.
One of them looked over and noticed her, before getting the attention of those around him. Sure enough, they soon all came towards her, and she was surrounded by them.
However, they did not seem to be threatened by her, or scared of her.
Instead, they seemed to be more... interested and fascinated with her.

The beings looked at each other for a moment, before they started to hop up and down, making excited sounds, and conversing in their strange language.
One of them then got behind her, and started pushing. Not as hard or violent as Vyran had been pushing her earlier, but... it was very insistent.
And the others were walking forward, continuously looking at her and making gestures.
It was clear that they wanted her to follow them.
And they were excited that she was there.
Plus, it seemed like they knew where they were going... considering this forest was more than likely their home.

The figure, clearly male, if the flat, uncovered chest was anything to go by, quickly recoiled when she called up to him. He danced around the entrance of the pit, making strange sounds. It was clear that this was a more... primitive... race.
A few moments later, 3 more males peered down at her from the entrance to the pit. They looked at her for an extended moment, before looking at each other and communicating in their own language.
After that, they all moved away from the entrance of the pit, and she heard the sounds of something being dragged. A minute or so later, a large log was pushed over the opening, from one end to the other. One of the males then scurried out, and tied a thick vine around it, before dropping it down towards her.
It seemed like they were offering her a way out.

As she walked, the steps seemed to follow her.
When she stopped, they stopped.
When she continued, they picked up.
But every time she looked around, scanning her surroundings, she saw nothing, and heard nothing more than the usual forest sounds that surrounded her.
As she looked around once more, she suddenly felt the ground under her feet become... non-existent. The leaves and dirt seemed to give way, as the cracking of branches and twigs was heard, and she fell down into a pit that was about 7 feet deep, landing on her ass.
Shortly after landing, she heard noises and more scuffling footsteps, before something peered down at her.
It looked to be humanoid, at least as far as the body went. It was a light brown colour, was bipedal, had human arms, looked to be about 5 feet in height, but as far as the face went... it was hard to say, considering it was covered by a very large broadleaf, with eyeholes cut out of it. Much like a hunting disguise.

"I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN TO THE ENDS OF-" was the last thing she heard from Vyran, before he was rendered silent, and she found herself in said forest.
She looked around, and saw nothing but trees and shrubbery.
However, there were sounds all around her.
She heard buzzing, and chirping, and chittering... all sounds that one would associate with a forest. However... there was a noise that was not totally out of place, but was more alarming.
Footsteps.
And they were getting closer towards her, before they suddenly stopped... and were silent.

He pushed her into the tear, and once they were both inside, she looked back, and watched as it closed, the familiar scenery disappearing into nothingness.
"Move." Vyran ordered.
"While in this space, you are completely at my mercy." he told her.
"There is only one end to this tunnel, and it will take us to my stronghold." he explained, as he moved her forward with little pushes.
"If you try and escape, you will be trapped her for all eternity." he warned her.
"And... nobody wants that. Not even one as stubbornly stupid as yourself." he hissed.

When Vyran saw the ice creeping across his skin, she noticed his expression underwent a number of changes... each more unnerving than the last.
It started off shocked... which was understandable. But then it changed to amusement... which was worrying. And then his expression seemed to change to greed and desire... which was the worse of all.
"Yes..." he said, his tone matching his expression.
"Yes, you ARE the one..." he commented, licking his lips hungrily.
"Now... COME!" he yelled, as he ignored the pain he felt from the ice, and yanked her forward, pulling her off of her feet, and towards the rift in the air before them.
"It is time for you to return to where you belong, and take your place as one of the pieces in helping me claim what is RIGHTFULLY MINE!" he declared, as he continued to pull on her arm, the appendage feeling like it would pop out of its socket.
