"Heh, good to know." Jaden replied.

"And you have my number for when you need me." he finished with a wink and a point, before leaving.

Jake was silent for a moment, as he watched him leave, and then looked at Mira.

".....wha?" he stammered.

"You're happily in a relationship." he said.

"And since when do you play for THAT team?" he then asked her with a joking smirk.

No sooner had she said that, Jaden stepped into view as well.

"And it's closed." he said.

"You need to follow Mira in?" Jake asked, darting his tongue out for the both of them.

"Not unless she needs me for anything more." Jaden responded.

"You good?" he asked Mira.

"Or you still need my portals?"

Jaden's jaw just dropped.

"G-G-Gaea!?" he exclaimed.

He was awe-struck for close to 5 seconds, before he shook his head to clear it, and slapped his cheeks a couple of times... lightly.

"Right. Cool. Sure." he said.

"Holy crap..." he muttered.

"Anyway, let's head back." he told her, creating a portal in front of them.

"Ladies first."

"..." Jaden was silent as Terra left, before clearing his throat and looking at Mira.

"Right." he said.

"Guess we should head back." he commented.

"And... Terra?" he then asked.

"That... she... she's not a Dryad, is she?" he asked further.

"..." Jaden was stunned still, for a moment, before her question registered.

"Huh? Oh... yeah." he said. "Yeah, I'm good." he told her.

"Same here." Mira responded.

Jaden then looked around again at the landscape, and nodded.

"Need to vacation here again." he mumbled.

"This is absolutely gorgeous."

"Eke!" Aly yelled as she got closer to him.

"Oh my goodness, what's happened!?" she exclaimed.

"Eke, are you all right!?" she then asked.

"Why do you look like this!?"

Jaden almost fell over when he heard that.

"Y... Y... Yggdrasil!?" he exclaimed.

"That spear is made from the wood of Yggdrasil!?" he asked.

"...wait, that tree's real?" he then suddenly asked.

"I... I thought it was just a myth..." he went on, before pausing.

"Then again, I thought Gungnir itself was a myth, too, until recently." he then admitted.

Jaden looked between the two women, before shrugging.

"Uh... hey, you seem to know them. And if you trust them, go for it." he told Mira.

"Whatever gets that spear back safely." he reasoned.

All the while, something was nagging at him.

Dryads were part of nature, yes, and the spear had a wooden handle/staff, which was nature as well... but the feeling he had while holding it, and the feeling he had right now in the presence of this new woman... felt nigh-identical.

The vampire was obviously confused about this sudden appearance. He hadn't felt anyone else here... were they always here? Did they just arrive? He figured the answers would come as the Dryad got even closer.

He took a small breath and held it a moment, before exhaling slowly, and smiling as she got closer.

"Ah... hello there." he greeted her.

"Can we help you?" he asked.

He was trying to remain as calm as he could, because he knew not to upset a Dryad, firstly, and secondly because he suddenly felt like he was in the presence of one that deserved immense respect. Even more than you average Dryad commanded.

Savra couldn't help but be worried about him, and Ryker did nothing but concentrate on driving. He even popped caffeine pills so he wouldn't need to stop for a rest.

Given that, they pulled up in the driveway of their home, and he nearly collapsed at the wheel. But he didn't. He blared the horn for a second, which caused Aly to come rushing out looking for Eke.

"...inside." Ryker said, as Aly checked in the RV, and shrieked a little when she saw what she did.

Jaden just rolled his eyes and smirked.

"They're spoiled, anyway." he said.

He then looked at the spear, and then the crate, and thought for a moment.

"So... how do you want to get this back to the Unit?" he asked.

"My portals don't get through the security barriers they have put up." he reminded her.

"...well, hot damn." Jaden muttered.

He then sighed and pulled out his wallet. Once he did, he withdrew a 100 dollar bill from it, as well as a business card... which he scrawled something on with a pen. He then gave them both to her.

"The money, and my phone number." he said.

"Gimme a call when you know where you wanna go." he told her.

"Might as well use my clout as a celebrity for SOME good." he laughed.

There was silence after the echo back to her, and Jaden just looked at it, the spear having missed him by a good few inches, but still.

"Holy crap..." he muttered.

With that, he fell into another portal, and appeared beside her again.

"Impressive, to say the least." he said.

"Let's test the other rumour." he went on.

"Can you recall it back to your hands?" he asked.

"And no, no bets on THIS. I'm just curious now."

Jaden looked over to the tree that she was gesturing to, and narrowed his eyes a bit.

"...all right then." he said.

"100 bucks and a reservation at any exclusive restaurant you want says you won't hit it." he told her.

He then disappeared in a portal below him, and she saw him appear beside the tree. He poked his head threw the portal, and looked at her.

"Good to go." he said, withdrawing his head and closing the portal.
