The man was silent for a moment, before looking over towards her.

When he did, she noticed he had gorgeous long black hair, and piercing red eyes.

He smiled at her, his teeth almost a perfect white, and stood up, standing at a 6 feet tall.

"Bonjour." he greeted her.

"I am Sebastien." he introduced himself.

"Sbastien LeBlanc." he finished, taking her hand and gently kissing the back of it.

"She does." he replied.

"She lives her in addition to Sebastien." he told her.

"Like I said before, she's out for a thing she's doing." he went on.

"It's a 3-bedroom, but 2 is all we need." he added with a smirk.

"Anyway, go and meet him." he suggested.

"He's a cool guy."

Darrell just laughed.

"Let's." he said.

In the end, they decided to just grab an XL family combo meal, and take it back to his place. Which they did.

They appeared in a specially taped off place in one of their larger closets, and he opened the door, stepping out of it.

"Yo! Sebastien!" he called out.

"We're back!" he said.

"In the den!" a male voice called back, a distinct French accent to his tone.

Darrell just bit his lip slightly as the place they were going to eat at came into view.

"That... yeah, that does suck." he said.

"I... there's not much else I can say about that." he sighed.

"I'm sorry." he apologised.

"I really wish I could be a bigger help." he finished, slumping a little.

It was clear that this did bother him a bit. His sister was conflicted and feeling out of place, and there was nothing he could do for her.

Darrell just sighed as well.

"...feel free to come hang out at my place if you need to get away." he told her.

"I mean, I'll give you something that will allow you to mana there." he continued.

"Also, I'm surprised no mana has shown up for you." he then said.

"One would think you'd get SOMETHING from one of them, at least." he went on, before pausing.

"...other than... the eye." he muttered.

"Somewhat." Darrell replied.

"And a friend of HIS as well." he continued.

"She does more software stuff, while HE does hardware." he went on.

"But yeah, getting help from those two." he confirmed.

"Thanks to that, I'm at the top of my class." he chuckled.

"Mom and Dad pushing you to decide what to do with your life, by the way?" he asked her.

Darrell just sighed.

"I know THAT feeling." he said.

"Everyone expects me to be a helluva showman." he told her.

"I can ham crap up, but... I'm not a performer." he muttered.

"I'll never be like them." he admitted further.

"Maybe that's why I chose this path." he went on.

"I can just be ME, and nobody will expect a performance from web design." he postulated.

"Regardless, art might be nice. Casey's done well for herself on it." he shrugged.

Darrell just smirked as she said the last part.

He was silent for a moment, before placing his hand on her head and ruffling her hair.

"But it's true." he said.

"You'll always be my baby sister." he told her.

He then laughed a little, before pulling her into a side-hug.

"But seriously, to have no idea is fine. But you need to start considering things." he told her seriously.

"Is there ANYTHING you enjoy doing that MIGHT be anything close to a career path?" he asked.

"Ah." Darrell muttered.

"Web design, and graphic design." he told her.

"You know, the sort of person that's... paid to design a website for a company or individual, or whatever." he continued.

"I think it'll be a stable profession, going forward." he reasoned.

"But yeah, that's what MY future plans are." he said.

"I'm surprised I didn't tell you before."

"Met him in coding class." he responded.

"He wants it just so he can have backbone knowledge in case he needs it in the future. He wants to be an entrepreneur of sorts, and feels knowing how to make his own website, as basic as it might be, without a template will be helpful." he reasoned.

"And yes, he does." he continued.

"He's not a mortal, either." he told her further.

"He's a mage." he went on.

"Water mage, specifically."

"You'll be able to meet one of my roommates, though." Darrell then said.

"He hangs around the place a lot." he told her.

"Cool guy. But I'll warn you of something." he then continued.

"He's... well, he's quite... pretty." he said.

"A lot of times, he's mistaken for a girl." he chuckled.

"So try not to open up with that." he added with another laugh.

Darrell froze in his tracks as she asked that.

"I... I... excuse me!" he said.

"What business is it of yours!?" he asked her.

"My personal life is MY business and MY business alone." he went on.

"..." he was then silent for a moment.

"I never confirm nor deny any intimacy." he then said quietly.

"....reeeeally not denying it, though." he mumbled under his breath at the end.

"But of course, o enchanting sister." Darrell responded in an overly cordial tone, before they started to walk.

As they did, he laughed slightly.

"We'd better be careful." he said.

"One might think we belong in that medieval series with all the death and incest." he commented.

"I could never get into it, sadly." he then admitted.

Darrell just groaned and rolled his eyes.

"Same." he said.

"No coffee stands up to what Mom and Dad have. Except what the Fyranes had." he told her.

"There's a Chick'n Club by the entrance to the airport." he then told her further.

"We can grab a bite there and then mana back." he suggested.

"I know you've mentioned wanting to eat there in the past."
