"....fair." Levi admitted.

"Well, would you prefer to go elsewhere?" he asked.

"It's a nice day, we can go to the nearby park area." he suggested.

"Or we can stay here." he continued.

"Though it looks like it may be getting busy soon, given the time." he mumbled further.

"You have a preference?" he asked.

"....." he was silent, before sighing.

"You wanna know why?" he asked.

"Because... well, it was initially for one reason." he said.

"But then it evolved into another." he continued.

"It's a bit of a story." he continued.

"And it involves your father."

Sure enough, Levi had called her later, and sure enough as well, they had decided to meet up. They had arranged to meet at a cafe, and then take it back to her little shoebox apartment.

At the moment, the two of them were at one such cafe, looking at what was on offer.

"Oh, wow." Levi said.

"I forgot the variety they have here." he admitted.

"Want to get the variety platter of pastries?" he asked.

"Share them at your place?" he suggested.

Levi's eyes widened and his face turned a little red when she made her last statement.

"N-no!" he exclaimed.

"No, that wasn't...!" he continued.

"I mean... I have a... that is... I wasn't... it wasn't my intent..." he stammered further, tripping over his own words and becoming more and more flustered.

He then just shook his head and cleared his throat.

"Thank you for your number." he said.

He then quickly exited the area.

"Yep." Levi said.

"Not that there's anything wrong with it." he went on.

"But yeah. There's the copy." he said further.

"Make sure it gets to them... well, soonish." he continued.

"I should probably be going now, though."

Levi froze for a moment.

"OH!" he exclaimed.

"Oh! Right! Right!" he said.

"I was delivering this." he told her, handing her some papers.

"This is a revised draft of a press release involving some of their work." he said further.

"Normally this is done by email, but R&D like to have a physical copy to write notes on and such." he reasoned.

Levi's eyes widened a bit when she gave him her number.

"Oh!" he said.

"Oh, thank you." he told her.

"Thank you very much." he said further.

He then pocketed the paper, and smiled.

"I'll call later." he went on.

"Heh, glad I dropped by here." he then commented.

Levi just smiled a little.

"I... I'd like that." he said.

"That... sounds good." he told her.

"I appreciate the offer." he went on.

"Or maybe meet at a cafe or something." he offered.

"Whenever we both have some free time." he continued... and it was clear he was more than a little awkward.

"Yeah. Becca." Levi confirmed.

"And yeah, nice to meet a fellow conduit." he reiterated.

He then sighed, and shook his head.

"It's... nice to meet someone that knows what I know and stuff." he continued.

"Not that... Becca isn't... I mean..." he then stammered, before slumping forward.

"You know what I mean." he said.

"I hope."

"That's... still good." Levi responded.

"I mean... well... yeah." he mumbled.

"Heh." he then chuckled.

"Nice to meet another conduit." he told her.

"Well, one that's naturally born, to clarify." he continued.

"How are you finding things here?" he asked her.

"....ah!" Levi exclaimed.

"Ah yes, the new receptionist for R&D." he said.

"Nice... to finally meet you." he said further.

"...though, I can tell that you're not alone." he went on.

"Seems we share something in common already."

As she was making her way through the mess of they system, someone was making their way towards her department, looking at the papers that he had clipped together and sighing.

"Hope this is all right." he said.

He then went through the doors to Brie's area, and smiled.

"Hi, I'm-" he started to say, before pausing suddenly.

And looking at her.

...specifically, the ethereal spirits he could see above her head.

Zeke nodded.

"Yeah, sure." he replied.

Angela was then surrounded by white mana, and appeared by the Unit, where she made her way to security.

When she stepped in, she was greeted by Jake, who made sure she was herself.

"In you go." he told her. buzzing her in.

Whenever you can get here. Just make sure it's ASAP. Hal responded.

Sure enough, about 5 minutes later, Zeke knocked on the door, and Angela let him in.

And she could see that he was looking... a bit haggard, to understate it.

"Hey." he greeted her.

"Want me to babysit Erica for a bit?" he asked.

"Because I can do that." he told her with a small smile and a thumbs-up.
