".....I see." Vincent mumbled.

"Then I should notify Hal of this." he said.

"I already did." Aedan told him.

"Ahh." Vincent replied.

He then gathered a vial of something, and brought it to her.

"If you dump this on you, Azazel's mana should lose its grip on you." he said.

"Let me know when you feel it, and I'll use my own mana to rip it off, essentially."

Vincent thought about it for a moment, and sighed.

"I think I can do something." he told her.

"Maybe." he mumbled.

"And... check on Kiah?" he asked.

"That's concerning." he commented.

"Come in so I can see if I can help?" he suggested.

"Maybe explain what's going on?"

"....." Vincent was silent as he heard that.

"I..." he stammered.

"I admit, I did not expect to hear anything akin to that." he admitted.

"And you're all right, overall?" he asked.

"Hm." he mumbled.

"Well, is there anything I can do for you?" he asked her.

"Anything I can do to help, or anything otherwise?"

Ryker just shrugged.

"Appetite is a good thing." he said.

"Least I'VE always thought so." he commented.

With that, he put out the flames in the barrel, and rolled up their sleeping equipment. Once that was done, he started putting away the dishes and such.

"We'll wash these in the vehicle."

"Eh?" Ash muttered.

"Oh yeah, sure." he said.

"I'll go tell him now." he told her.

"See ya." he finished, before disappearing.

Aedan then made her way to the door, and knocked, the answer coming pretty swiftly.

"Reveka?" Vincent said when he opened the door.

"Oh, thank heavens you're okay." he sighed in relief.

Ash raised an eyebrow.

"That... name does not sound familiar." he said.

"However, that concept. Like... the concept of a person having multiple different souls in them, IS familiar." he admitted.

He then crossed his arms over his chest, and thought about it.

"Like, I'm sure I've met someone like that before." he continued.

"...or was it my brother....?" he then wondered aloud, which, unknown to him, gave Aedan a chilling clue about Brie's potential origins.

"Yeah, sure." Ash responded, extending his hand.

When Aedan took it, they both disappeared in a burst of black flames, appearing in Vincent's backyard.

"All right, we're here." he told her.

"Just head up to the door." he said.

"But... hang on." he then muttered.

"Before you do... question." he said.

"You... mentioned something about someone having multiple souls in them?" he asked her.

"Is that right?"

"Huh? Oh, yeah, sure." Ash replied.

He then accepted the phone and looked at the feline.

"Shoo. We'll play later." he told it, as it slunk away into the forest.

"These things are pretty rambunctious." he commented, before pausing.

"....and there's yet another word to add to the list I learned from my brother." he mumbled.

"Anyway, if you're ready to go, we'll go." he told her.

"The black flames might be uncomfortable, though." he warned.

".....ah... right." Hal mumbled.

"I expect a more complete explanation later." he said.

"For now, I will take your warnings about Azazel and Cain, and investigate Gabrielle." he told her further.

"I suggest you let Vincent know you're all right." he continued.

"Anything else?" he asked.

"Aedan!?" Hal exclaimed.

"Woah, wait, excuse me?" he asked.

"Is that why I just got a call from Vincent, saying you texted him for help, and he suddenly can't find you?" he asked her.

"Wait, Azazel tried to KILL you!?" he asked further.

"And what's this about Brie?" he then inquired.

"Right, first things first." he said.

"Are you all right?"

She was waiting for about 8 seconds... longer than she would have liked... before it was answered.

"...hello?" he answered.

"This is Hal." he went on.

"Who's calling?" he asked.

"...and it better be good." he added, sounding annoyed.

"Ah, right." Ash replied.

"Sorry." he apologised.

He then shook his head, and dug his phone out of his pocket.

"Here." he said, handing it to her.

"Why?" he asked.

"Where's yours?"

As she kept walking, she stumbled upon something.

Or, rather, something stumbled upon her.

She saw it was some strange cat-like creature. It looked like a tiger, but had very large lower teeth. Like a sabre-toothed tiger, but with upside-down fangs.

It growled at her, and looked ready to pounce... before someone emerged from the nearby brush, and rammed into it, knocking it to the side.

"BAD CAT!" Ash said.

"CALM DOWN!" he ordered, before looking at Aedan.

"Eh?" he muttered.

"Revevka?" he asked, mispronouncing her name.

She walked, and found nothing. Nothing familiar, nothing identifiable.

Until she came across a squirrel-like creature. It looked just like a squirrel, but it looked like it had runes running up and down its tail.

It was also eating small insects.

She recognised it as a species that was kept away from humanity, and remembered that it was either the Remmingtons or Fyranes who kept this particular species in their 'backyard' forests.

Meaning she was either on Remminton property or Fyrane property.
