Jake just sighed.

"Right." he said.

"Sure thing." he told her.

"......." he was then silent, and shook his head.

"I'll bet it's in regards to that horribly familiar faint smell of mana on you." he then muttered.

"And the boss will want to see it in person." he continued.

"So expect him there VERY shortly after you get there, yourself."

The demon looked around.

"Nope." he replied.

"Nothing out of the ordinary, anyway." he said.

"That's all. But that's alarming." he told her.

"It's elven, but if -I- can sense it... it's dark elf mana." he continued.

"Which is alarming."

"That ain't no hard candy." he replied.

"Well... okay, it IS, but it's not JUST a hard candy." he told her.

"If I were you, I'd keep that far away from the mouth." he then said.

"And take it to R&D to be analysed." he continued.

"Because I sense mana in there." he informed her.

"...elf mana."

"......nnnnnno." he responded.

"No... no, not demonic..." he said.

"Hey, go back to the front door." he told her.

She was confused, but went back to the area, as her 'shadow' extended from her and started to look around.

"Where... the hell...?" he mumbled to himself, before it seemed like he locked onto something.

"Ah-HAH!" he exclaimed, before going over to a sneaker that was on its side, and picking it up, shaking it a bit, and causing something to fall out.

"Found you!"

"Good luck." Hal replied.

When she got back to the house, she opened the door and looked around.

She called out for Levi, but there was no answer. The house was empty.

However, she noticed that her companion seemed a bit... preoccupied.

"...the hell...?" he muttered.

"The bloody hell IS this...?"

Hal just sighed heavily.

"...sure." he then said.

"I'll allow it." he told her.

"Just be careful." he then said.

"I've come into some information about a recent hire, Gabrielle." he told her.

"...seems she is not to be trusted." he warned.

"So if you see her, do not engage her. Notify us and stay hidden."

Levi accepted the little box, and smiled.

"Awww, thanks." he said.

"I'll make sure to save them and eat them for a special occasion." he told her.

He then paused for a moment, seemingly thinking something over.

"...though I suppose... just a few won't hurt..." he mumbled.

He then opened the box and took out two of the candies... popping them right into his mouth.

Levi looked at the candies, and smiled.

"Ooooh." he said.

"I've never actually had one." he admitted. "I've heard they're divine, though." he told her, shutting the door behind him.

"Are you sure?" he then asked.

"I mean, these are supposed to be mega-expensive, aren't they?" he asked further.

"You sure you're all right with letting me have some?"

After a moment, the door was answered... thankfully, by the one she was looking for.

"Oh, hey." Levi said, looking a bit on the tired side.

"Didn't expect a visit from you." he commented.

"What's up?" he asked.

"Oh, and come on in." he then said further, stepping aside and gesturing for her to enter.

"....excuse me?" Lindsay replied.

"Then something needs to be done." he said.

"I don't know what her ultimate goal is, but I believe it's safe to say that someone is in grave danger." he told her.

"Someone?" Ash asked.

"If I were to hazard a guess, she's been placed in the Unit to go after a specific individual, or a couple of people." Lindsay responded.

"That's just how Vanessa used her. She's like an infiltration unit, meant to go after a specific target or two."

"Good." Ryker replied.

"Good to hear." he said, as everything was put into the vehicle.

He then checked around, making sure they didn't leave any garbage.

"Guess this trip is what you needed." he said.

"And it's barely even begun!"

Lindsay sighed.

"I do." he replied.

"She was... well... how do I put this...?" he mumbled.

"She's an experiment. And I believe the point was to see how many souls a container can hold." he continued.

"But... she's definitely involved with Vanessa." he confirmed.

"...that's not good." Ash muttered.

"To put it lightly." Lindsay said.

Vincent just sighed.

"Right, I'll get you there, pronto." he told her.

"You'll appear in the Fyrane's backyard." he said further.

With that, Aedan nodded, and she found herself surrounded by a small swirl of wind... before finding herself in said backyard.

It was a bit disorienting, but she shook it off quickly.

She also noticed that she was alone, nobody was out there currently.

"Demon mana is scary." Vincent replied.

"As powerful as I am, even I need help to deal with it." he went on. "And even then, what was on you were just traces of it." he lamented.

"Regardless, you should be all right now." he said.

"You said you needed to talk to Lindsay?" he then asked.

"Want me to take you there?" he offered.
