exactly, which is what I want to practice with! I want my own style of tilesets to use for RPG maker (for lack of knowing how to do my own coding) so I can have a fun way of telling some of my stories. I have an easier time wrapping my mind around characters/humanoids than I do for objects though.

learning how to pixel shade will probably help with my normal arting also. especially with color theory practice

I found something! The most proud pixelling I've done (but still, freedom to crit them!)
This was over a year ago when I wanted to make sprites of some OCs of mine


I still enjoy how they came out. First time making a base myself, I think. But they feel a bit "thin" for RPG maker's tile sizes, so it felt awkward to use them. If I could change those tiles into rectangles, that'd be great xD

I understand that. personally, sometimes its easier for me to start over with a different view on the image. or sometimes I just force it complete and hate it in the end but the receiver ends up liking it anyways xD not usually what I like to do though

but he's not wrong. I usually give myself a 2 week limit on art things if they have no real deadline, cause I cant work with too much freedom. I HAVE to kick myself into gear even if I dont wanna do it

Ive been really tempted to get that game, but havent yet! Maybe on my next paycheck, I DO have another week-long break coming up in january that I could use for playing video games pixeling

I want to make a toy box but I cannot find any pixel threads anymore. Seems to have died off~

Which is why I ended up making a hangout thread centered on learning to do it ourselves pretty much xD

the first word to pop into my head is "patience"

I've never done or thought about this, but I really like the concept!

Dang this gave me weird flashbacks to doing word puzzles as a child
sitting in my grandmother's chair, in her mobile home, listening to matchbox 20 on a CD player
trying not to smell the ashes from her ash tray next to me, before she realized and moved it away.
