You'll be amazed at how much everything in the body is connected
sometimes an issue isn't directly where you think it would be. Just like carpal tunnel is not necessarily an issue in the wrist, its a nerve that runs all the way up your arm, under your collarbone and to a spot on the base of your neck. for lack of anatomic terms. But point being, often if its released up there, it can relieve the pain in your hand/wrist area without even touching it there. If you get a person who really knows what they're doing and how to find trigger points, it really is like magic.

I've had that happen before, but it was the kitten that died due to a snake bite (one reason why I never want outdoor cats) and our older cat got really depressed and cried a lot. It was extremely hard to cope with. Then a few years later, the older cat was lost to the same fate. Took me a looooong time to get through it
