((Thank-you! I tried my best.))
Kaneko couldn't be happier, she was smiling like a big goof sitting here on his lap like this. Oh but she was happy, as she always was when she was with him. He was her everything. He represented so much for her. Things that she never had for the longest time. Safety, happiness, affection, familiarity. She had been safe at home yes, but she was always left alone so she never really felt safe. She wasn't happy, her father never allowed her to be. Affection was something she stopped getting so long ago and familiarity as well. She knew her father, recognized him, but she didn't know who he had become. She had lost her father long before he had been arrested. And she had lost her mother long before that as well. Maybe they weren't going to be safe as long as hunters existed, but she would fight back. Allen was the person she loved and she was going to do whatever it took to protect him. Whatever it took.
---Timeskip to month later---
Christmas time was a few days away and even though there was not real point in decorating, Kaneko couldn't help it. She had woken up early and decorated the entire house with a few things they had bought weeks prior. Her humming as usual was the only music that filled the house. No big tree because that would take forever to set up in here but they had a small one and yes, she got Allen a gift or two. It had been hard to pick something out because he wouldn't be able to see it but she wanted to surprise him anyway. Was there any mistletoe hanging around? Maybe there was. Now Kaneko had made some peppermint tea and was making her way back to their room to have it there for when Allen woke up.

When he arrived home, Clint's head was swimming. Probably from the alcohol he had or because of Jess. Probably both. All he knew was that he was glad to be home. He locked the front door behind him and dragged himself to Maddie's room to check on her. Thankfully she was asleep, he didn't want to even look at her right now. Wait, why? It's not like you and Maddie are anything anyway. Just friends. Nothing wrong with kissing an ex. Blame it on the drink you had...right? Maybe. There had been spark though. Clint cursed beneath his breath and went to check on his laundry, tossing it in the dryer and heading to the table where he groaned and stared at the small pile of mail on the table.

Every thing Tamaki said opened up new questions for Mia to ask. Although she didn't get the chance to because then he said his goodbyes and excused himself to go and talk to the others. Of course she understood though. He couldn't focus on just one person, that wouldn't be fair to the others. "Thank-you." She had said before he left. Mia looked back at Takashi and smiled softly. Mori-senpai? Strange nickname. "You aren't much of a talker are you Takashi?" She noted. "It's okay, you don't have to talk. I understand. I don't really talk to people I don't really know. It's hard talking to a stranger." She said quietly. Honey returned, balancing a tray with sweets and tea for them. "I brought our sweets and the tea. I hope you like it Mia. Would you like me to pour you some tea?" He asked her. Mia smiled politely at the short boy. "Yes please, and thank-you. The sweets look delicious." She said. Honey looked at Takashi then carefully poured the tea with wobbly hands since the teapot was pretty big and heavy. "They are very delicious!" He agreed.

The three watched her get up and leave. "She'll come back I'm sure." Haruhi said. Though the twins shared a look. If it was her mother, then this probably wouldn't end well. "Should we go check on her?" Hikaru asked. Kaoru thought for a moment and sipped his tea. "Give her some space. If she doesn't come back in a few minutes, we can go check on her. For now, let's just let her take that phonecall, it might be important." He suggested. Haruhi nodded. "I agree. We should give her a bit of space. If she really if leaving, she would at least come back to say bye wouldn't she?" Haruhi asked them.

The group talked for hours, reminiscing about the collage days. Mentioning old classmates, talking about the good and bad, the crushes they had, flings, whatever it was. Jess went on and on about her and Clint when they had dated, but Clint never said anything. He didn't regret dating her because at one point he did love her but then it got to a point where he had to choose her over his future. She wanted to drink all the time and skip class. He wanted to go to class and get a part time job. And so he had to break up with her. It wasn't easy but eventually he got over it, unlike her. Here she was, clinging to him and then when it was time for him to get going, she followed him out. Which he didn't like. "Alright I'm going now Jess. Try to calm down before you head home." He warned her and then she kissed him, and there were spark, but he had to push her away quick. "Jess...please stop okay? You're a really nice person but we both want different things. You have to let me go. Move on with your life and find someone you really deserve." He said, quickly getting in his car and locking his door. He refused to roll down the window, feeling a pang of guilt when he saw hoe heart broken she looked. "Shite." He muttered and rolled the car window down halfway. "Don't do this Jess...please." He told her and buckled up. "I need to go." he said and motioned at her to approach the window. "Come here." he muttered and when she did, he un buckled his seat belt and gave her another kiss. "That's it. Goodnight Jess." Clint rolled the window back up when she backed away and buckled up then headed back home. Kicking himself the entire way.

"I'm just having one drink okay? Then I'm heading out." Clint informed. "Oh man what the hell? Why? You just got here dude." A male said. "Yeah I know, but I got stuff to do back home and I have work tomorrow. I can't exactly get wasted either." Clint countered simply, groaning when Jess tried to get him to pay attention to her. There was history between them yeah, but they were over, done. He had moved on, she clearly hadn't. He was actually glad for the drink when it arrived, very cold. "Surprised you even showed up to be honest." Another male commented. "To be fair, I wasn't going to show up for obvious reasons but I decided why the hell not. It's just one drink...and we haven't hung out in the longest time. I take it you guys are all busy with stuff right? Work and whatever else you do?" He asked, taking a sip of his drink.

Mia looked up when the blonde haired male approached. "Oh, hello there." She said, bowing her head in respect. "I see, so you are the king of this club...and the girls are the princesses?" She said and giggled, her smile was rather pretty and every time she did, she would crinkle her nose a tad bit. "I must say this is a very interesting club. I was just telling Takashi here how I've never heard of anything like this back home." She explained. "It must take a lot of hard work to manage this club though...I imagine. But, your friends here obviously help you right?" She asked.
Honey watched as Mia talked with Tamaki, he had the gift. Every girl always wanted to talk to him. He looked to his cousin and huffed before getting up. "I'll go get the sweets and tea. Usa-chan, wait for me here okay?" He said before walking off to get the sweets and tea for Mia and for himself and his cousin. How could Takashi forget? Maybe he was just distracted by other stuff?
---
"We're promising a secret?" Haruhi remained confused with that answer. Both Haruhi and Kaoru listened to what Alice had to say. A secret? What secret? How bad could this secret be that she called herself a terrible friend. Haruhi had only just met her though, so she thought maybe this was more directed towards the twins since they had known Alice longer than she had. "H-hey...you don't have to tell us if you don't want to Alice it's fine. We won't think any less of you." Hikaru assured her. Kaoru nodded, "Exactly. You are our friend Alice, regardless of this secret. We all have secrets, it doesn't make us bad people because of it."

Clint arrived at the place where they always got together to hang out. A high end bar. Already he was regretting coming here. He should have just stayed home and looked through his male after making dinner. "Relax, you're not even going to stay for very long Clint, remember?" He reminded himself and stepped out of his car after he had parked. He grabbed his wallet, phone and keys then headed inside the dimly lit building. At first, he didn't see his friends but then he did and the girl practically threw herself at him, reeking of alcohol. "I told you I didn't want you drunk Jess." He muttered, holding her only so she wouldn't fall over. "Would you have wanted me if I weren't?" She asked and snickered. "No." He answered simply, making her pout. "You're no fun Clint. You used to be very fun." Clint sighed and walked her back to the table where the others were waiting. "Another round of drinks!" One of his friends ordered. Clint sat Jess down and took a seat beside her. "I was fun yes, when I was a kid. I have a job now, responsibilities. You know that." He muttered and greeted his other friends. This was going to be a long night, he could already tell.

She said yes? Clint was happy to hear it, now he just had to figure out what kind of movie she'd want to watch. Horror was out of the question for sure. "Oh, okay cool that sounds great. Umm yeah, after work of course." He chuckled at her last comment. "Yes mom." He teased. "I'll be back soon, I promise not to stay out late and only one drink! Promise. I'll see you later then Mads." He said to her and gave her a casual wave before heading out to go hang out with his friends.

(( https://i.imgur.com/AOIrkwZ.png There we go, finally managed to get a picture for you of them.))
They needed some more fire wood. She could get some more but to be honest she was too comfortable right here like this. Her mind was a jumbled mess, all these emotions whirling around inside her. Was this what love felt like? Did her mother feel like this at some point with her father? Did they ever just sit like this and enjoy each other's company? She couldn't picture it. Her father wasn't very affectionate. Just over protective. Well, he was affectionate when she was younger. He'd always be in such a good mood, he was playful and then one day he just stopped. It was like something happened that made him change who he was and she would never know what that was. Where did they go from here? One day at a time, baby steps to see just where this would go. For now, she would enjoy every day that she had with him because eventually she knew it would come to an end. Kaneko giggled at his affections and relaxed further in his arms. "And I you, Allen. I hope you don't get annoyed from hearing it so much." she chuckled. Ah this was nice, but she knew eventually they would need to eat too.

That was something he wanted to fix. He wanted to spend time with her too like when they were kids. But it would be dangerous to be out there with her, someone could recognize her. What to do? Clint walked to his room and closed the door behind him, then began to get changed so that he could head out. Just one drink. He hoped it really would be just one drink. After getting dressed and making sure he looked good, he walked out and headed to Maddie's room. He knocked on her door and looked inside, "Hey ummm, I guess I'm going now but uhh... Well I was wondering..I know it's not a safe idea I guess but I was wondering if maybe you'd like to go out sometime? Maybe do something or...I guess we could just hang out here too if you'd prefer. I mean, with anxiety and stuff maybe out in the public isn't very fun and these people might see you but like... I don't know. The thought of you just staying indoors all the time doesn't sound very fun. But like I said, we could always hang out here sometime if you want. You know..after I get back from work we could maybe watch a movie or something?" He suggested with a shrug of his shoulders.

King? That was a new one. They had a 'king' in this club. "Well I think your 'king' is very kind to do this for us girls. So..if he is king, does that make you all...princes? I mean, there can't be a queen unless one of these girls is the queen? Or are they the princesses?" Mia asked curiously. It was a strange concept, but it was one she was interested in learning about. If they would teach her that is. "Do you guys always meet up here after school?" She asked.
"Takashiiii!" Honey came running to their table after he finished his sweets and realized they didn't have sweets or tea with them. "Why don't you have sweets? Or tea?" He asked them, setting Usa-chan down on one of the chairs and fighting back a small yawn.
---
Hikaru caught that last bit and nodded. "Promise." He answered. "What are we promising?" Haruhi asked curiously after taking her seat. Kaoru took his seat and then so did Hikaru. He was confused though, why did she think she was being a terrible friend to him. "Terrible? Alice you haven't been terrible at all. What are you talking about? Have I done something to make you think you were? If so I do apologize, but I don't think you've been terrible at all right Hikaru?" Kaoru asked his brother. Hikaru nodded. "Right, you're not a terrible friend Alice."

@rainbowpanda: Thank-you! I look like a wannabe Sebastian Michaelis but yeah, thanks!
I do like how it turned out and I wanted to keep the streak of male avis going. Not planning on breaking that any time soon.

((Hahaha Huzzah! We made it happen. :von-celebrate: ))
Saying it the first time was always tough because there was always the fear of rejection but here they were now. They had a home of their own. A place away from everyone else where they could just enjoy each other's company and they could go to the town if they ever needed anything or just wanted to look around. It was perfect in a way. This was what they had wanted for the longest time, and now they had it. Kaneko's hear skipped a beat when his cold lips met hers. She never thought that she'd one day kiss a vampire. She never thought she'd meet one or run away with one. It was a very good thing her father wasn't here and had no control over her anymore. He really was different from the others. Vampires were always meant to be scary, evil, killers. Heartless. But Allen was none of those things. He wasn't a killer...even though he had just killed a man not even thirty minutes ago. No, he wasn't a killer. That man had said something that triggered Allen. That, was what she had to be wary of. What if she said something to trigger Allen and he tried to- No, she would not even entertain that thought. The kiss ended and her forehead rested against his. Her fingers lightly toying with his hair. She was in total bliss right now. Nothing could ruin this moment for her.
