That's not what they did? Okay, now she was still pretty confused. However, after hearing him explain to her what the purpose of the goal was, she relaxed a little. Alright, at least she knew something now. So they helped the girls feel welcome basically. "I see...well that's very nice of you guys to do that. You know..." She said and fiddled with her fingers nervously. "B-because not a lot of schools do that. I mean, they don't have this sort of thing but I guess they have someone who gives the new students a tour but that's not really the same thing I suppose." She explained, quickly shutting herself up before she rambled. "S-sorry. I tend to talk a lot when I get nervous...and it's pretty embarrassing."

Ahhh, and there it was. Her worries were spilling out like a waterfall. So her mother re-married, that was never fun. His eyes widened when she placed her hand on her chest, not good. He was quick to move to her side and hugged her gently. "Hey it's okay, thank-you for being honest with me Alice. Let's not worry about these negative things though. You should focus on the positive things, and I know it can be hard sometimes because at times there might be more negative than positive but please try. I don't want you winding yourself up, we need to be careful you know. Your health is very important to me, to us. If you get taken, Kaoru and I will just take you back." he told her, trying to lighten the mood.

"Here is the tea and some sweets." Haruhi said as she carefully set the silver tray down on the table then proceeded to pour them all some tea. "Is everything alright?" Kaoru asked, seeing his brother hugging Alice.

One drink then come home, right. Clint nodded. "Aright then...I suppose a few hours with friends won't kill me. I'll give her a call and let her know I'm on my way. Ummm.." Clint stood and looked around. He probably should have made dinner now so that she wouldn't have to worry about food. "You'll be fine right?" He asked and shook his head. "Of course you will. Just umm...keep the door locked. I'll let myself back in when I return. I promise not to be out too late alright?" He told her, as if she were his older sister who would worry if he was out too late. Clint went to the phone and picked it up, punching in his friend's number. She answered on the second ring. "H-hey. Umm, you don't have to come over I'll go meet you up. The usual place right?" He asked and looked at Maddie. "Is it just going to be us or is everyone else going to be there too?" The woman on the other line explained that they would all most likely be there. "Alright, I just need to change and I'll be right over and you better not be drunk by the time I get there." He warned before hanging up and running a hand through his hair. "Alright. I guess I should go get ready then."

Kaneko listened to what he had to say and nodded, "Okay." She answered. She believed him. It was true. Being careful didn't mean you were scared. It meant that you were being careful. Stranger Danger she thought. The golden rule to live by in life. He was all she had now, and she wasn't going to let anyone or anything take him from her. Maybe she was being selfish and clingy. Maybe she was being suffocating but in her eyes, she was just protecting that which was important to her. Just as he protected her, she would protect him. Whatever it took. She had actually said it, finally she told him how she felt after all this time. She felt a little bad that it had taken her so long to say it, but she just wanted to be sure. Love was a big thing and she didn't want to throw the word out there unless it was genuine. Her eyes looked at his milky white eyes and she felt herself blush at his question. "Yes you may, Allen." Kaneko answered, a smile on her lips.

As Takashi explained to her what the club did exactly, Mia listened to him with much interest. She always enjoyed listening to people talk, it was nice and it said a lot about who they were as a person just being able to see them talk and the way they presented themselves. She didn't know much about Takashi but he seemed like a good person even if he wasn't much of a talker. "A host club. I've never heard of that before. Back home, I don't believe we've ever had one. So...you just talk to girls here? That's what host clubs do? They talk to...girls?" She asked and looked around. "Talk to girls over cakes and tea?"

Hikaru looked around at the girls then looked back at her. "Ehh...yeah I guess they're nice. I don't really know them though, like I know you. Come on Alice, you can be honest with me. I know you too well and I can tell something's up. Something is bothering you and I want to know what it is. I mean, it has to be serious since you haven't even looked at me since we got here." He was honestly worried about her. What could be making her so uncomfortable? Was it really this event or was it something else? Haruhi and Kaoru started making their way back towards the table where Hikaru and Alice were seated and waiting. "I wonder what they're talking about." Haruhi said to Kaoru who shrugged. "Probably reminiscing."

Clint smiled at what she said, "Good go know this will come to an end eventually." He said and set his bills off to the side, focusing on Maddie once more. "So you think I should go out with my friends instead of stay here with you?" He asked her curiously. "I suppose Jess and the gang will be happy if I did show up at all. It's been a few years since we all hung out. A few months since me and Jess hung out. It's like a school reunion but without the school part." Clint explained to her. He thought about something for a moment before speaking again. "If I do end up getting drunk, what would happen?" He asked. I'll most likely just have one drink and call it a night, I have work in the morning. Can't really party all night like I used to."

Kaneko shook her head, it wasn't his fault. He was just looking out for her. He was just doing what he could to keep her safe even if it meant he'd get hurt. "I care about you...very much Allen. I don't want...I'm just scared that maybe one day they'll hurt you too much, and I won't be able t-to help you get better again. And I'll lose you..and I don't want that." Her voice was quiet, just above a whisper really. "You are too important to me." she added. Don't live in fear. Yes it was easier said than done. To not live in fear would mean to keep your guard down right? Kaneko wrapped one arm around his neck gently and rested her forehead against his lightly, her free hand gently running through his hair. "I love you." She whispered.

Clint sighed and nodded, walking back to the table to open up the other bills that had arrived. "Yeah they did. They want to go out for drinks. I think they still believe we're college students who have nothing better to do than get wasted." He explained while making a neat little pile of trash. "I don't mind hanging out with them but we don't really hang out much now since I started working. I guess they just have more free time than I do or they're more fun than I am. I don't know." He said, shrugging his shoulders and glancing in her direction.

"Thank you." Mia said quietly before taking her seat and fiddling with the hem of her top. What should she do or say so that this wasn't awkward? She glanced toward Takashi who was dressed in a fine white suit fit for a prince. Quickly, she lowered her gaze. It was rude to stare back home and that was probably still true here. "Umm..d-do you always do this?" She asked quietly.

Hikaru blinked, "Me? Do something childish? I would never." He said with a smirk. Noting her body language, Hikaru wondered if she was uncomfortable with this whole thing. "You okay?" He asked. "I know this probably is a bit much isn't it?" He relaxed in his seat, trying to think of ways that he could make her more comfortable. "You don't have to stay if you don't want to Alice."

Kaneko looked at him, surprised by his actions. He was wounded and yet he was comforting her. "It's my fault you're hurt...a-and.." She fought back a sob. "I k-know but what if...t-they find us h-here? What if t-they see us on our way out? Or..if they f-follow us back here?" She asked, trying to calm down and steady her breathing. What if he lost control and killed again? She knew he didn't do it on purpose though, but if someone had seen him kill that man they would have told someone and tried to kill him or hire someone to kill him. Don't you dare cry now Kaneko. Keep calm. Crying won't solve anything.

"Well, I can always just grab some drinks and go to your place." The female had suggested. Clint mentally cursed, that was true. She could just come over. But then she'd see Maddie and ask questions. He didn't want that. He didn't want anyone to see her. "W-well yeah...I suppose you can but like...I'm gonna make dinner right now and go to sleep after so I mean...I won't really be a-" He was cut off by a tap on his shoulder. He looked at Maddie and blushed when she smiled at him. "Uhh Jess, l-let me call you back yeah? I think someone's at the door." Clint said then hung up the phone. "H-hey..." He said to Maddie. "Umm...how much did you hear?" He asked, giving her a small smile.
