Armo just sighed.

"........yes." he mumbled.

"He's a milksop and a lapdog, but he DOES outrank me." he muttered.

"Look out, kid!" he then yelled.

That's when Aly heard someone coming for her...

...and it sounded like they were ready to barrel her down the stairs.

"No clue." Armo responed.

"Like I said, it's demonic, but not from a demon." he told her.

"If you know anyone like that, we're in business." he said.

"Other than that, contact a higher-ranking demon than me." he went on.

"I can't do much else except keep it off of YOU. And maybe those that get real close to me." he added.

"For now, concentrate on SCRAMMING!" he finished, as she nearly tripped over someone wallowing in the middle of the corridor.

The demon tagged along in her shadow, looking around at the people she was passing.

"Covered. Covered. Infected." he listed off.

"Oh, that's one saf-never mind. Just got her." he continued.

"Geez, this thing's multiplying and jumping from host to host." he said further.

"I've never seen anything quite like THIS before."

The demon didn't seem to listen to her at first... however, after a few seconds, the man collapsed to the floor, unconscious, and the demon returned to Aly's shadow.

"She's MY ride." he said to the unconscious man.

"Mess with her and you mess with ME." he declared.

"Yo, you all right kid?" he then asked Aly.

"That looked like it was not comfortable, to say the least." he commented further.

"Any damage?" he then asked her.

Emerald didn't say anything, before looking around and ducking into a nearby room. He was going to just stay there and cower, and pray that nobody would come in or bother him.

He was scared out of his mind, and desperately trying to calm down... and not having much success.

Meanwhile, the one that Aly had slammed into was continuing to hold her against the wall.

"You little bitch..." he snarled.

"I'll teach YOU to try and push me around." he went on.

However, as his grip around her neck tightened even more... Aly's shadow started to grow and shift, before beginning to engulf the man completely.

"What the!?" he exclaimed.

Armozan didn't say anything in response, just laughed a little, as he continued to engulf the man and sap his strength.

The demon raised an eyebrow.

"...right." he said.

"I can think of an infinitesimal amount of reasons why I wouldn't be able to do anything to help him." he told her. "And they all have to do with the gap in between my power and their power." he continued.

"However, not sure if you need to worry about that." he admitted.

"For now, I would suggest you leave this building, ASAP." he then suggested.

"Your friend is swarmed with the stuff, and everyone around you is covered in it." he warned her.

"And soon there'll be too much around for me to deal with." he finished, looking around some.

Armo just shrugged.

"Dunno what to tell you." he said.

"I just know this stuff is weird." he told her.

"It's demonic." he went on.

"But... it's not quite like a demon's." he continued.

"It's strong, but... it clearly didn't come from a demon, if -I- can deal with it." he said further.

"Know what I mean?"

"He shouldn't be so terrified." Armo replied.

"He's seen me before, he knows what I am." he told her.

"As for what I did, I pulled some mana off of you." he said.

"Potent stuff. Was gonna draw out who you are deep at your core." he went on.

"Oh, and it's swarmin' the place." he then said further.

"Coverin' EVERYBODY."

Emerald shied away from the fight, and as he did so, Aly's shadow crawled up the wall, and took a vaguely demonic shape, with horns and teeth and eyes.

However, it then extended its hand off of the wall, towards Aly.

Before she could say anything, it seemed to grab her by the neck, and pull... before it pulled off a small purplish blob of... something...

"Yep." he muttered.

"This is trouble." he said, shoving the blob in his mouth and chewing on it.

"Mmmm... potent." he mumbled.

Meanwhile, Emerald looked absolutely terrified.

Emerald just nodded.

"Okay." was all he said.

With that, the two of them left the media department, and started to make their way to the dorm areas to find his sister.

However, on their way, they saw a literal brawl breaking out between two people in the hallway... and she heard a voice.

"Ohhhh, no." it said.

"Great. Just great." it growled. And Aly knew where it was coming from.

Her shadow.

Emerald seemed to freeze in terror when Aly touched him, but he looked over at her.

"....I... I..." he stammered.

"She's... she in the dorm." he said.

"The dorm, yeah." he repeated.

"And... and... and home? With you?" he then asked.

He paused for a moment as the thought went through his mind, before nodding.

"I need to get away from this place. It's scary. It's frightening. This world is frightening." he continued.

This was a new side of him to her... and it was alarming to see him acting this way.

Emerald was now hunched over, his hands buried in his hair as he clutched at it.

"I want out of here." he said.

"I want to go home." he continued.

"I want to go home, I want to be away, I'm scared." he rattled off.

"This is scary, this is this world, this is awful." he went on.

"I want to go home, I want to go home, I want to go home..." he then said on repeated, almost rambling to himself now.

Felix looked at her, and it seemed like he was getting angrier and angrier by the second.

"..." he was silent, before literally slapping her hand away.

"Fuck. Off." he barked at her.

"Talk to me again, and I'll see to it that you do NOT have a job here." he threatened her.

He then turned, and started to storm away.

The man turned immediately, and snapped a glare at her.

"Don't you DARE mention her!" he snarled.

"This is MY business, and mine alone!" he said.

"You can just butt out and shut the HELL up!" he barked.

"Stop!" Emerald yelled.

"Stop it! Stop fighting! There's already too much going on!" he said in a frightened and almost cowardly tone.

"This doesn't concern you, you damn alien!" Felix snapped back.
