"I... I see..." Ilias mumbled.

"Right then." he said, as he started to follow her.

"I'm... here with the serum that was requested of R&D." he then said.

"Thought I'd deliver it, myself." he went on.

"But... but what's going on?" he then asked. "Chaos? How so?" he asked further.

However, she didn't get a chance to respond to him, before a desktop pencil holder went flying past them, narrowly missing Ilias's head.

"Missed me, HAH!" one of the people yelled.

"Why you-!" the one that threw it growled, before they tackled them down.

As they wrestled on the floor, Ilias saw that people were having arguments everywhere, some were getting loud with each other, others were cowering away from the conflict, but that was the only physical altercation that he was seeing.

"Holy crap!" Ilias exclaimed.

"Oh, hi Robin." Ilias said to the one that had just showed up.

"And... no. No, he didn't." he answered.

"He just... pushed past me. A little aggressively, admittedly, but... it was still just a push." he insisted.

"And he's already in trouble?" he then asked.

"Why?" he asked her.

"What's going on?"

"I do what I can for my agents." Hal commented.

"After all, their well-being is of the utmost importance." he reasoned.

"Regardless, I'll give you a day or so to get your affairs in order, but if you feel you can take this on sooner, feel free." he then told her.

Ilias sighed as he grasped the vial in his hand, and made his way to the interrogation department.

"...this is potent stuff." he mumbled.

"Guess they really need it." he said further, before opening the door to the department.

"Hello? I'm here with the-" he started to say, just as one of them literally pushed past him.

"OUTTA MY WAY." they growled, storming off.

"....geez." Ilias muttered. "What's HIS problem?" he wondered.

Hal was silent for a moment, before nodding.

"Very well." he replied.

"For the sake of the mission, your new name, or code name, will be Miranda Vale." he told her.

"Contact with the Unit will be minimal, but if you need emergency assistance, you know what to do." he continued.

"You are to live there under your new identity for 50 days." he then said.

"The details of your new identity are in the file." he went on.

"As well as what to be on the lookout for."

"Hm."{/b] Hal mumbled.

[b]"I see." he said quietly.

"Normally I would say something along the lines of 'I'm sure it's fine' or 'These things happen', but I know you, and I've been around long enough on this world not to dismiss such feelings so hastily." he commented.

"Do you not think you can handle this assignment?" he asked.

"I can try and find someone else to fill it." he told her.

But that suggestion in and of itself posed a small problem for her. She was still listed as an active member of the Unit, but she hadn't had a proper assignment in close to 5 months, which meant that if she didn't take this, a review of her standing at the Unit would be called for, and from what she heard, those were never pleasant. They involved those higher up than Hal showing up, and they didn't have the best attitudes.

"In the end, not really." Hal replied.

"You can blend in better than most." he told her.

"Well, you can blend in, and you are more than capable of defending yourself if things get... hairy." he then clarified.

"And I know that being alone helps with calming you down and such." he continued.

"...speaking of which, ARE you all right?" he asked.

"You seem particularly tense. Moreso than usual." he commented.

She made her way to reception, where she was told to wait... however, she was only waiting for about 2 minutes, before she was beckoned entry. When she stepped in, Hal smiled at her.

"Welcome." he said.

"Have a seat." he offered.

"I'd like to discuss an assignment with you." he continued, putting a file on his desk.

In it were reports about strange happenings in a small suburban area in the city... and how the mission was a reconnaissance mission, meant for someone to temporarily move into a house and keep an eye out for anything strange. And it was supposed to be for about 2 months.

"Think you can handle this?" he asked her.

"Yeah, no problem." Azazel replied.

"I'll keep you posted." he told her.

The one manning the security looked at her, darted his tongue out slightly, and sighing.

"No." he replied.

"You're you." he told her.

"...you all right, though?" he asked.

"You REALLY look like you aren't doing well." he commented, before pausing.

"Well, you look stressed, anyway."

"I'll get into contact with them." he told her.

"And get them to come UP HERE." he stressed.

"But it might take a bit." he warned.

"They're really busy constantly, and... well, remember I said 'nicer'." he went on.

"They're still demons." he continued.

"And... I'll need to make it worth their while." he sighed.

Azazel's eyes widened when he heard and saw that.

"Oh..." he said.

"Oh... hm." he mumbled.

"I... see." he said further.

"I might have to get a few of the... nicer... demon scientists to come up here." he told her.

"Examine this... occurrence." he commented.

"Because I get the feeling this warrants a deep looking-into."

"Yeah, the demon realm is... not a place for non-demons." he told her.

"And... well, it's clear you're not. Even though... you can use demonic mana..." he continued.

"See, that is unnerving." he said further.

"And the fact that you don't know how you can do it is even more alarming." he went on.

"...so this just... recently and randomly manifested?" he asked her.

"You're welcome." Azazel replied.

"Time was of the essence, so I knew my questions would have to wait." he told her.

He then looked at her and narrowed his eyes, before sighing.

"Permission to lay a palm on your chest?" he asked.

"If it will help." Erica responded.

Azazel then put his palm in the middle of her chest, and she immediately felt the feeling and influence of Hell begin to congregate there... but she also felt it start to exit her, and quickly.

"Hm." Ryker mumbled.

"I see." he said.

"Well, there's a chance we can dig that place out." he told him.

"I think just the entrance caved in..." he went on, thinking about it.

"We'll see when this trip is over." he went on.

"That work for you?" he asked.

"....oh!" Azazel exclaimed.

"Well, in that case, somewhat, yes." he told her.

"And I know a few others that would know about it, too." he told her.

He then paused for a moment, before smacking his forehead.

"And I knew I forgot something!" he said.

"Yeah, come here." he told her.

"I'll remove the realm's influence."
