Lindsay was silent as she said what she did, and left.

He stood there for a moment, before scratching the back of his head.

"...uh, very well, then!" he called to her.

"If you... if you feel that having a dialogue is necessary, then I'm available!" he said further.

He then paused, before bringing a hand to the side of his head.

"...why do I feel like... something isn't right?" he asked himself.

"I..." he stammered further, before shaking his head and following Casey upstairs.

"......." Ryker was silent for a moment as he saw that.

"Right..." he mumbled.

"I'll get to grilling up that, then." he told him.

"The other fillet's done, so... if you want to eat it, go ahead. I'll do this one up." he went on, gesturing to the other piece of cooked fish.

Lindsay... for a brief moment... flinched, and shook his head.

"Wait, Casey!" he said.

"It's... it's clear you're hurting." he commented.

"Let's... let's talk..." he said further, before seeming to have a small spasm.

"A conversation should prove to be very beneficial in helping you deal with what's troubling you." he told her.

"Would you care to reconvene in my office?"

The brothers were silent for a moment, before Ash huffed an angry sigh.

"Fine." he said.

"I'll leave." he told them.

"Because the more I listen to THIS over-important ass, the harder I'm going to punch his throat in." he snarled.

"Just because your mind can't comprehe-" Lindsay started to say, before Ash interrupted.

"GOODBYE!" he snapped, disappearing in a burst of black flames.

"...oh dear." Lindsay mumbled.

The two of them looked at her, and were silent for a moment.

"Casey?" Lindsay addressed her.

"What's the matter?" he asked.

"You look positively distressed." he commented.

"...his words are anger-inducing, but I agree." Ash said, ire in his tone.

"What's up, Casey?" he asked.

"....." Lindsay was silent as he looked at his phone.

"How very odd." he said.

"Eh?" Ash asked.

"She terminated the communications with little more than what seemed like a dismissive acknowledgement of the present situation here." Lindsay responded.

".....sounds like she got tired of listening to your pointless gab." Ash muttered.

"Just because one such as you cannot appreciate a robust vocabulary, doesn't mean everyone else cannot." Lindsay said.

"SHUT. UP." Ash growled loudly.

As soon as it hit the floor, it rang.

And it was the one she had been trying to call.

Once she picked it up, before she could say anything, Lindsay's voice answered.

"Salutations, my maternal aunt." he said, his voice a bit more... full... than usual.

"My apologies for the delay in answering your summons, but I was merely trying to illuminate and educate my foolish sibling on a simple fact of life." he explained.

"SHUT IT!" she then heard Ash snap in the background.

"To what do I owe this particular communication?" Lindsay then asked her, seemingly ignoring his brother now.

Vincent perked up when he heard that.

"....Hollie, you DO know what I like to hear." he laughed.

"That would be lovely." he told her.

"Also, you don't feel as dead as you usually do?" he asked.

"That's good.' he said.

"Glad to hear it!"

Vincent just sighed again.

"I'm sorry." he apologised.

"Again, I swear I don't do this on purpose." he told her.

"But regardless, I know it's a bit surprising." he then said further.

"You said this should be done ASAP, which I know generally means I have a couple of weeks, but given what this was about... I felt like getting it done in a couple of days would be better." he reasoned.

He then stepped inside, and shook his head.

"Once more, my apologies for coming at such an... awkward moment, I suppose."

"......." Vincent was silent for a moment as he witnessed his sister... and sighed.

"My apologies." he said.

"I promise I don't do this on purpose." he told her.

"But I finished those documents you needed getting done." he then said further, gesturing to the folder he had in his other hand.

"I know I take a while usually, but you DID say this was urgent." he continued.

"So I devoted my full time to it."

"Of course." Hal echoed.

"We've both been working too hard, let's take it easy for the night." he suggested.

The next day, as Hollie was just making her downstairs for a late morning coffee, she heard the doorbell ring.

And she felt a familiar mana at the door.

It was her brother, Vincent.

"We'll see, won't we?" Hal asked in response.

"I was thinking dinner and a movie, and..." he continued, before trailing off, pausing, and smirking.

"...well, we'll see what develops from there." he told her.

"Trashed and scattered? Maybe." he said.

"Let's just have some fun tonight." he went on.

"Sound good?"
