"......" Azazel was silent as he felt this, and witnessed this.

"Oh, geez." he mumbled.

"I had no idea-" he started to say, before stopping and shaking his head.

"No. Later." he told himself.

"You are clearly hurt. And badly." he commented. "You need medical attention, STAT." he continued.

"Look, we're going to need to travel through Hell again." he warned her.

"However, I can at least shield you from its effects." he then said further.

"But you need help, and I'll get you to the Unit? Ready?" he asked.

Because she had gone through hell, there were those that had been alerted of that happening.

And those that knew, told others.

Ultimately, it resulted in someone being sent to find the one that had travelled through hell. It had been seen as a strange journey, as the sensors that monitored such things detected a strange anomaly in it.

It was definitely something that needed investigating, at the very least.

In the end, one that was assured to handle it in the most diplomatic manner had been chosen to investigate... and it wasn't as though he was really in a position to refuse it.

As such, he had made his way to where her landing point had been... and he was shocked to find what he had discovered.

"Oh my Lord!" he exclaimed, seeing the wounded woman and rushing over towards her.

"Are you all right!?" he asked, checking her over.

Cain looked to be... absolutely stunned.

Shocked, stunned, and frozen.

"...pregnant?" he asked.

She nodded.

"And... well... I mean... there's no way I'm not the father..." he went on.

"That's right." Lunet confirmed.

"..........................." Cain was silent again for a good, long moment... before he smiled.

It was small, but it was soft. And honest.

"Heh." he chuckled.

"Life sure is funny." he commented.

"Guess we have a future to plan for." he added, his smile growing a little.

Cain was immediately confused.

And he looked concerned.

"Um... okay..." he said.

"So... we need to talk." he continued.

He then sighed deeply, shaking his head.

"All right." he muttered.

"Need to steel myself." he commented further, taking a few short breaths.

"What's up?" he asked.

Hal watched her go, and paused for a moment when she shut the door behind him.

"......it's been a very long time since I did this..." he mumbled.

"Ah, what the hell. I can't get addicted to it." he chuckled, digging in a personal drawer, finding a VERY old box... and taking out a cigar.

"It's old-fashioned, but... it's been a century or so. I'll indulge." he laughed, sniffing the smoke.

She was waiting for about 6 minutes or so, before Cain showed up and sat down across from her.

"Hey." he greeted her.

"Waiting long?" he asked.

"...it is." Hal agreed.

"Has... interesting implications for the child, too." he mumbled.

"Wonder how THAT will work out..." he continued.

"Regardless, as for how he managed, I assume some help was involved." he then said.

"Whether up OR down..." he muttered further.

"Remember, demons... well... you know where I'm going with this." he finished.

Hal nodded in response.

"All right." he replied.

"That's fair." he said.

"Very well, go off and tell Cain." he then told her, before pausing.

"...already becoming a mother..." he muttered.

"Well, at least it's with someone that's trustworthy, I suppose." he went on.

"...wonder how Aedan and Azazel will take this..." he then wondered aloud.

Ryker looked over to Eke, and sighed.

"I see." he said.

"I don't know what to tell you." he went on.

"The jacket can be washed." he told him.

"As for everything else, I... just don't know." he lamented.

Hal took her response in, before nodding.

"I see." he replied.

"Well, if you feel that you can honestly handle that massive responsibility." he told her.

"Then I will support you." he said.

"Admittedly, given what I am, the thought of becoming a father never entered my mind until I met you, so a grandfather was never even on my radar until right now." he then admitted.

"...I must say, my initial reaction is... a positive one." he said further.

"Now... do Cain or your mother know?" he asked her.

Hal was silent for a moment, processing what she asked.

"A... grandpa." he said.

"....I see..." he mumbled.

"Well, it's no surprise that you're engaging in such activity, given you fell victim to that mana anomaly." he commented.

"But... it's gone THAT far, has it?" he asked.

"Well, the answer to your question is contingent on the answer to a question of my OWN." he told her.

"How do YOU feel about being a mother right now?" he asked.

"....." Hal was silent as he heard Lunet.

"Eh?" he mumbled.

"Why...?" he started to ask, before sighing and shaking his head.

"Door's open!" he called to her.

"Hello." he greeted her with a smile when she stepped in.

"I was thinking about going to lunch." he told her.

"Care to join me?" he asked.

"Hm. I suppose so." Hal muttered.

Vincent just chuckled.

"Sure." he replied.

"Your cookies are the absolute best." he told her.

"And fresh is even better." he added.

"Indeed." Hal agreed.

"I think I might like one, too." he said.

Vincent shook his head lightly.

"Indeed." he said.

"I have faith in them, though." he told her, smiling softly.

"Hal, is anyone in YOUR circle affected?" he then asked Hal.

"Not... that I know of..." Hal admitted.

"Though I haven't been into work, so I just might not have heard." he admitted.

"That is fair." Vincent said in response.

"As I said, Rowena's rune is out of control." Vincent said.

"Racquel is there helping her, but I almost lost my soul getting the restrictors to her." he went on.

"...that's alarming." Hal commented.

"Very." Vincent agreed.

"Racquel will contact me when Rowena's mana and the rune are under control." he continued.

"Which shouldn't be TOO terribly long, but still." he added.
