"Fair enough." Ty responded.

He then picked Anya up and manipulated her so that she was on his back.

"Let's go." he told her.

With that, he started to move, and make his way through the corridors.

"Odd that this happened." he commented.

"You just... woke up like this, or what?" he asked.

"No weird forewarnings or anything?"

"I suppose not." Ty admitted.

He then sighed and made his way over towards her.

"Any pain?" he asked.

"Or discomfort or anything?" he asked further.

"Have you noticed any sort of... well, anything detrimental or worrisome from this?" he clarified.

"I mean, other than obvious... physical challenges."

"Ah." Ty responed.

"Yeah, sure." he said.

"Sure, you can have access to the lab." he told her.

"I'll make sure to let them know you're on your way." he said further, before pausing.

"Actually... want a life there?" he asked.

"Given the way you are now, someone carrying you would probably be faster."

"....I see." Jake mumbled.

"Yeah, that would be irritating." he said.

He then sighed, put up a 'be right back' sign, picked Anya up, and carried her through the Unit, making sure to avoid contact with anyone. Luckily, they made it to the head office, and after a moment, they were let in.

And Ty was silent as he saw them enter.

"Ah..." he stammered.

"What the...?" he muttered.

'Anya, TOO...?' he thought to himself, as Jake set Anya down in one of the chairs, and excused himself from the room, shutting the door behind him and leaving to return to his post.

"Fair enough." Jake responded.

"Just... fair enough." he repeated with a shrug.

Sure enough, around lunch, Anya showed up at the Unit... where Jake was manning the security.

He noticed her come in, and leaned over the desk, looking down at her.

"Heh." he chuckled.

"Hello, again." he greeted her.

"Want me to take you to Ty, myself?" he asked.

Ryker looked over towards Eke, seeing him holding the little flopping fish.

"Don't spoil your appetite!" he called out with a laugh.

"But if you're hungry, go ahead and snack!" he added with a chuckle.

He then set to unpacking the RV and setting things up... the tent and other things, to be specific.

"Need to set up a fire to cook on." he mumbled to himself.

"I understand." Jake replied.

".............." he was then silent for a moment, shifting his eyes back and forth, before suddenly picking Anya up in his arms.

"Wow." he said.

"....sorry." he then apologised.

"I just had to do it." he admitted, setting her back down, but on a nearby table so she was closer to eye level.

"At least you don't seem to be in pain."

Jake just shrugged.

"Maybe." he said.

"But it's none of my business." he told her.

He then paused, and looked Anya over, head to toe.

"....in the meantime, we have something to consider." he went on.

"We have tests to run." he continued.

"Because... really... what COULD do this...?"

"....................." Jake was silent for a moment, before smacking his forehead.

"Right." he said.

"Duh." he scolded himself.

He then sighed, and dialled HER work, making sure they were told the same information, before hanging up.

"All right, they know now." he told her.

"You're set."

Jake nodded in response.

"Got it." he replied.

He then grabbed his phone and dialled Hal's office number.

"...Ty?" he said when it was answered.

"....oh. Huh, I see." he muttered.

"Anyway, Anya won't be able to be called upon for her services for the foreseeable future." he told him. "She's got NO voice, and is... well, just overall miserable." he said further.

"I'LL be in as usual, though." he added.

"...all right, bye then." he finished, before hanging up.

"Seems Hal's taking some impromptu time off as well." he told Anya.

"There's no bright pink in there, I promise." Jake responded.

"No bright ANYTHING in there." he assured her.

"And... well, I pretty much HAVE to. I don't think they can get a replacement for me on such short notice." he admitted.

"Will you be all right?" he asked.

"Which is to say, how do you feel right now?" he clarified.

"Are you feeling... well... stable?" he asked further.

"Because if you feel you need me, or someone, here, then I'll stay."

Jake thought for a moment.

"Hmm, yeah." he said.

"....." he was then silent, looking her up and down, and sighing.

"Right." he muttered.

"I'll try and find some clothes to fit you." he told her.

With that, he disappeared from the room, and the house, for about 25 minutes, before returning with a bag of clothing.

"Here." he said to her when he found her.

"These should fit."

"Hm." Jake mumbled.

"At least you're not in pain." he said.

"And... kids clothes?" he then asked.

"Uh.... hm." he muttered, thinking about it.

"I... yeah, I don't think so..." he admitted.

"Never had any reason to have any." he reasoned.

"I can go and grab some for you." he then offered.

"What do you want?"

"I wish I knew." Jake replied.

"But I don't." he said.

"Like, at ALL." he muttered further.

"This is... a little freaky, if I'm being honest." he then told her.

"But how are you feeling?" he asked.

"Are you in pain?" he asked her.
