Uriel narrowed his eyes.

"Because you haven't caused any issues... yet." he responded.

"The rules state that you can be up here as long as you don't cause trouble. At least, knowingly." he went on.

"Trust us, we're watching." he then assured her.

"Step out of line, you'll deal with US." he warned.

"...seems a bit harsh." Lex mumbled.

"Lilim and her family are stupid powerful, remember." Azazel commented to the necromancer.

Uriel crossed his arms over his chest.

"I see." he said.

"Well, I can promise one thing." he told her.

"If any of them come to the surface to hunt you out, they'll be struck down by all of us." he said.

"They've been a thorn in the side for a while." he went on.

"So we're looking for them to give us an excuse, to be blunt."

"....." Uriel was silent as he saw this, before sighing.

"Hm." he mumbled.

"All right then." he said.

"Lilim, I am... well aware of the volatile politics that you are embroiled in, down in the Underworld." he commented.

"But I only know so much." he admitted.

"Can we get a more full story?" he asked.

"What in the name of all the deities happened THIS time?"

Azazel almost collapsed afterwards, but sighed and kept himself up.

"Whew." he said.

"Thanks." he told her.

It was at that point, they felt Uriel return.

"...looks like he's back." Lex commented.

"Seem so." Azazel muttered.

"And no, he's not going to try and kill you." he then told Lilim.

"He'll want info, though." he added, remembering what the archangel had said before he left.

Lex raised an eyebrow.

"Can you heal Azazel?" he asked.

"Don't like seeing him hurt like this." he reasoned.

"If so, please do." he told her.

"Otherwise... meh." he shrugged.

"Oh, yeah. You seem like an okay sort." he then went on.

"If you can't return to Hell, you can stay here." he offered.

"Yeah." Azazel replied.

"Name's Alexandre LeBlanc." Lex introduced himself.

"Or Alex. Or Lex. Whatever." he shrugged.

"Really doesn't make too much of a difference to me." he told her.

"I was showing someone what I do, by attempting to call and summon Azazel, but you ended up hijacking it and coming through." he went on.

"Guess that saved your life." he added, as Azazel shakily got to his feet.

"Damn..." he mumbled.

"Your flames are as hot as I remember them. They dwarf dragonfire." he added, a little smoke still rising from his body.

"You can try." Azazel responded.

"But we both know they'll be waiting." he said.

"And if they see you again, you know as well as I do that they'll overwhelm you." he went on.

"Seriously." he muttered.

"If I were to wager a guess, they have their entire social network on the lookout." he continued.

"And the real friends you have down there will be greatly outnumbered." he said further.

"But we cannot stop you if you decide to." he added with a bit of a dejected sigh.

"See?" Azazel said to Lex.

Lex just sighed again, and collapsed into a nearby chair.

"Great..." he mumbled.

"Lilim... look... it's... well... hard to explain." Azazel then told her.

"The long and short of it is that it seems you were on the run from your family, who had a dark elf messing with you, and hijacked Lex's rune, which he was using to try and contact and summon ME." he explained.

He then proceeded to tell her what had happened while she was here, what she had done, what Uriel had done, everything.

"So yeah, a LOT happened in a VERY short amount of time." he summarised.

"Owwwww..." Azazel groaned.

"AZZY!" Lex exclaimed, before looking at Lilim.

"HEY!" he said to her.

"Listen, lady!" he addressed her.

"I don't know what the hell THAT was all about, but we just saved your life!" he told her. "We stopped that damn mana whatever-it-was, and stopped your bleeding, and THIS is how you repay us!? By trying to KILL me!?" he went on.

"I don't care how powerful you are, I brought you here, and I can just as easily send you BACK." he then said.

"Lex... no, don't..." Azazel said, as he wobbily got to his hands and knees.

"I will unless I get an explanation." Lex responded.

"She's obviously scared... the mana's gone, and she finally has her full senses, as well as her sense of self." Azazel then said. "So if I were to wager a guess, she's in unfamiliar territory, is unsure as to what just happened, and given when she's gone through back in the Underworld, I'm guessing she's... on-edge, to put it lightly." the demon explained further.

Lex just sighed deeply, before shaking his head.

"Right." he said.

"All right, despite what I just threatened, and how I sounded, you ARE safe here." he assured Lilim, his tone a bit calmer.

"So how about you stop being so defensive, and let us all bring the energy in this room down a notch, eh?" he suggested.

Ryker just sighed again, but smiled.

"Yeah, decided space was important." he told him.

"We have plenty with it." he went on.

He then made his way to Eke, and placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Don't worry." he said.

"We just need to keep pushing on." he told him.

"We'll get through this."

"...all right." Lex responded.

"I will return soon, and I will get an explanation." Uriel told them.

The archangel then lifted Lunet in his arms, and the two of them disappeared from where they were in a pillar of light.

After a little bit, Azazel and Lex managed to close the wounds on Lilim's body, and she was out of immediate danger.

"Whew." Lex exhaled.

"There we go." Azazel muttered.

"Looks like she's saved." he commented.

"Either that or I can get your mother here." Uriel replied.

"Actually, I should probably call her and tell her what's going on." he then said.

"Ohhhhh, Hollie's gonna kill me..." Lex suddenly moaned, having overheard that.

"I'll explain it." Uriel responded.

"Relax." he went on.

"Regardless, you have a preference?" he asked Lunet.

"If you just want to head home, I'll take you there myself. Otherwise, I'll call her over here."

"Woah, woah, woah." Uriel said, gently sitting her back down.

"Hoooold on a sec." he said further.

"NO unnecessary movements right now." he told her.

"Your clothes are barely hanging together. Her blood is like a mild acid... and it's eaten away at your clothing." he explained.

"...you also seem to have a bit of a purple colour to you, but that should go away soon enough." he went on.

"Point is, you don't want to suddenly be naked, do you?" he asked.

"People like you are rare." Uriel replied.

"Anyway, I owe you an explanation for my earlier wording." he then said.

"Long ago, generations before you were born... and that's understating it... a dark elf made a deal. A deal with the devil." he told her. "And part of that deal involved a clause that stated that neither heaven nor hell could directly intervene with her plans and dealings." he explained.

"Within that woman, there was dark elf mana, suppressing her free will." he went on.

"But... the dark elf in question is not related to the one that made the deal, so I could freely remove it from her." he then said.

"That's massively truncated, but it gets the point across."
