Azazel's jaw almost dropped.

"....Aeden, you're ALIVE!" he exclaimed.

"You're living! You're a human! You're not a zombie!" he told her.

"Your soul isn't tethered to your body! It's residing in there! Like, legit residing in there, like a living being's soul does!" he continued.

"Your voice is clearer! It's crisper! There's life to it!" he told her further.

"THAT'S what's going on!" he went on.

"HOW are you not seeing this!? Or noticing this!?"

Ryker followed him inside, and looked around as well.

"........hm." he mumbled.

"Looks like there's fish on sale." he commented.

"...really fresh stuff, too, it seems." he added.

In his mind, he was already thinking about what sort of trip would cheer Eke up.

Wherever it would be, it would surely need to be an adventure of sorts. Where they could return to nature and just be themselves in the wilderness. But where, exactly?

So many ideas swirled in his mind.

".....wait, what?" he asked.

"I'm sorry, what?" he asked her.

"Head to bed? You? What!?" he exclaimed.

"The bite to eat, fine. You eat sometimes for the taste. But you don't sleep. You don't NEED to sleep." he continued.

"Aedan, something's... off... about you." he then told her.

"Even how you LOOK." he went on.

"ESPECIALLY how you look." he then corrected himself.

"Aedan, I... just... do me a favour. Look in the mirror of the downstairs bathroom here, okay?" he then asked of her.

"........" Azazel was silent as he saw the woman before him.

"I..." he stammered.

He then stopped and closed his eyes, concentrating for a moment.

"...right." he then said.

"It's past 3am." he told her.

"And I... I know... I can sense your... soul." he then said.

"I know it's you, Aedan." he continued.

"But what in the ever living HELL happened to you!?" he then exclaimed.

She was met with silence at first.

However... she then saw something in the darkness. She saw two glowing eyes looking right at her. The lighting in the home was non-existent, so the eyes were all that she saw.

And they did NOT look amused.

"You." a voice addressed her.

"Who are you? And why are you here?" he asked.

"You look like Aedan... somewhat... and sound like her... somewhat... but it's clear that you're different."

The two males sat in the den of the house, the younger one looking a bit impatient.

"...where is she?" he asked the older one.

"It's not like her to be this late." he said.

The older one sighed and looked over towards the younger one.

"I know." he replied. "But this isn't the first time she's been late without letting us know." he reminded him. "I'm sure she's fine." he added.

This didn't seem to quell the concerns of the younger one completely, but it had to the point where he wasn't verbally making a fuss about it any longer.

The older one then sighed again quietly, and looked out the window.

'Aedan, what IS going on...?' he thought. 'To be THIS late, without any warning? I can see why Cain's a bit worried...' he thought further, before shaking his head and getting up from his chair.

"I'm going to make sure the motion sensor for the front door light is working, just to make sure for when she DOES get home." he said.

Lex nodded in response.

"I should tell Aimee about this." he said.

"Come on." he told her.

"Let's go and... well, tell her about the future." he said, before pausing for a moment.

"...that sounded corny as heck." he muttered.

"Regardless." he finished, before turning and heading to where Aimee was, to inform her that things were going to be changing.

Lex shook his head.

"She's the one that suggested we get our own lives." he told her.

"...she even suggested that SHE be the one to move out, but... well, for the reasons I said earlier, it might be better if I were to move out instead." he then reasoned.

"Plus... she's right." he then muttered further.

"I DO need to get my own life." he said.

"I've clung to her long enough, it's time I actually make a life for myself, like she's done for herself."

Lex was silent for a moment, before nodding.

"Ah, yes." he said.

"I saw the ceiling in the room you'd been using." he told her.

"...and... wow." he then said.

"There was a lot of... evocative stuff there." he commented.

"Could really see the passion and all that you put into what was there."

"...." Lex was silent for a moment, almost unsure, himself.

"I..." he stammered.

"Well, I mean, at first, I was suggesting that I just get the place, and you live there." he told her.

"But... you'd be cool with the other option?" he asked.

"I mean, Aimee's been saying that we need to get our own lives, apart from each other." he then reasoned, scratching the back of his head.

"And this would be a step in that direction." he went on.

"Plus, I wouldn't want Aimee to move out of here. Zeke has too many good memories here, so his mother and father should remain here." he then reasoned further.

"So... I mean, if you ARE cool with it, I guess we could get a place together." he told her.

"......" Lex was silent as he heard this, before sighing heavily.

"I... I can understand that." he said.

"Really. I can see where you're coming from with that." he told her.

"Let us help you with that, then." he then said further.

"I mean, you'll need to find someone willing to rent you out a place or let you take out a mortgage or whatever, and that might not be the easiest thing to do." he continued, before pausing.

"Ah... well, unless it would be someone else that got it, and you just lived there." he then said.

"Someone like... well... me?" he suggested.

Alex bit his lip when Lilim said what she did, laying it out as she had.

"I..." he stammered, before nodding.

"Right." he said.

"I get it." he told her.

"I meant it when I said it, but... well, the thought of you disappearing made me blurt it out, as it... kinda stopped my brain from thinking about what I say before I say it." he admitted.

"But, as I said, I did mean it. Still do." he then assured her.

"...and that's the last I'll say on it." he went on.

"Unless you bring it up sometime in the future." he then added.

"Ah... ah..." Lex stammered.

"I... that is... I mean..." he stuttered further, before shaking his head.

"Y-yeah." he said.

He then stepped out of the way, and opened the door even more.

"Are... are you coming in?" he asked.

"......please?" he added quietly.
