"......." Rene was silent as Lilim said what she did.

"Ah... I..." he stammered.

"Prize?" he asked.

"Eh... heh." he chuckled nervously, taking an unconscious step back.

"Listen, I... I, uh... l-listen..." he then stammered.

"Maybe... maybe not do this...?"

Rene just sighed again.

"It... well, it's just that..." he muttered.

"All right, I have a reputation." he then said.

"I'm sure you know." he told her.

"I just need to at least LOOK like I'm keeping my act clean, y'know." he said further.

"So... yeah..."

Rene just sighed lightly, and smirked.

"Firstly, I do try and maintain my professionalism. My career is important to me." he told her.

"Secondly, if that had been done outside... well... on this plane, that doesn't look good." he went on.

"Also, I think any man that would have seen you would have gone nuts" he then said.

"Like, mortals." he clarified.

"Doesn't your family have a strong succubus-like aura?"

Oh, holy hell." Rene muttered.

"Yes, that is bad. VERY bad bruising, there." he commented.

"Also, I KNOW you're a demon." he said.

"And I know that mortals can't do much for demons." he went on.

"And I also know that you say you'll be fine, and yes, odds are you WILL be." he continued.

"But I actually DO happen to have a cream that WILL help speed that up, and deal with the pain and soreness."

"........." Rene was silent for a moment.

"No." he said.

"Not done yet." he told her.

"You might fool other people, you might fool Lex, but you don't fool someone that's seen it hundreds of times." he went on.

"You're shifting all your weight onto one side. It's subtle, but it's there." he commented. "And the position of your arms further bolsters my suspicions." he continued.

"Obviously something big happened." he then said.

"Care to have a little trust in a lanthan doctor?" he asked her.

"Well, let's try and help." Rene replied.

And so he did. He pushed water into her, trying to separate it from her.

He succeeded... to an extent. He managed to take out half of what remained in her, before he looked ready to collapse.

"Wow." he said.

"I forgot how resistant a demon's body is." he commented.

"It's been... quite a while since I worked on one." he muttered further.

"All I can do now is bind your external wounds."

"....right." Rene mumbled.

With that, he did check her over, and sighed after he did so.

"I can.... hm." he muttered.

"I doubt I can do much for the physical injuries, other than bind them." he told her.

"And I can still feel some dark elf mana inside you." he went on.

"I can try and remove it if you'll allow me."

"........" Rene was silent, before sighing.

"Somehow, I'm not surprised." he said.

"After my past... yeah." he mumbled.

"I'm not surprised my name is known down there." he went on.

"Anyway, let's check you over." he continued.

"Dark elf encounters are never pretty."

Rene paused for a moment.

And Lilim saw everything click... almost at the same time.

"Wait." he said.

"Wait, wait, wait." he muttered.

"So... I know who you are now." he told her.

"But how do you know who and what -I- am?" he asked her, the fact that she used his real name not missing him.

"...have we met before?"

"Huh." Rene muttered.

"I see." he said.

"Well, it's clear you know of the world." he went on.

"So this makes the next question easier." he continued.

"WHAT are you?" he asked.

"I have to know what species you are, so I can give optimal care." he reasoned.

"It's not personal, and not meant to be invasive, I assure you." he then added.

"..................." Ryker was silent for a moment, before heaving a heavy sigh.

"I see." he said.

"So are you regretting it?" he asked.

"The home? The stability?" he asked further.

"...Aly?" he then asked him.

'The absolute HELL is that darkness?' he then thought.

"Yuh-huh." Rene muttered.

"I can tell you're injured." he said.

He then paused for a moment, looking her over.

"Question, first." he said.

"Who are you?" he asked.

"I don't recall ever seeing you before."

After she left them, she was waiting for about 30 minutes, before Rene went to her.

"Right." he said.

"His face is fixed up, his chest is as well." he told her.

"And you were right about the mana." he continued.

"Luckily I was able to isolate it, and remove it." he then said further.

"He'll be able to walk again in... about... a week or so." he went on.

"Now. Let's take a look at YOU."

"........." Rene was silent for a moment.

"Right." he said.

"After I take a look at him, I'm taking a look at YOU." he told Lilim.

"Because you don't look so hot, either." he commented, before pausing.

"Actually, that's a lie." he said.

"You look SMOKIN' hot, but you also look like you need medical attention." he clarified.
