"...." Azazel just nodded.

"Yeah." he said.

"Yeah, they're... the fact that they can prey on demons says a lot." he muttered.

"The fact that they exist in the first place is... alarming." he mumbled further.

"But you'd better be careful." he warned her.

"I know that both of our pasts are littered with things that that thing would love to hijack." he said. "I don't want it going after you." he went on, before pausing again.

"...we're... free of that." he then said, seemingly out of nowhere, and in a non-sequiter. But Anya knew what he was talking about. His flashback... he never wanted to go back to that ever again. It seemed like he was trying to reassure himself on it.

Azazel nodded in response, and the two of them made their way to a booth and sat down on opposite sides, facing each other.

There was silence for a moment, before Azazel sighed.

"It's like I was really there." he opened with.

"I could feel the cold air, the snow, the almost oppressive darkness." he continued.

"Like..." he went on, before just trailing off.

"It took me a moment when I 'woke up' to realise where I was." he then said.

"It was... harrowing, to understate it."

Cyril just smirked.

"Of course." he replied.

"Take a seat and I'll be there with them." he told them before heading into the back.

"Right." Azazel said.

"Let's sit down." he told her.

"Table, booth, or here at the bar?" he asked, as Brian walked past, having done what he was doing.

"Trash has been taken out." he told Anya.

Azazel just smirked.

"Make that 2." he said.

"Gotcha." Cyril replied.

"Anything to eat?" he asked.

"Nachos Supreme-o for me." Azazel responded.

"Anything for you?" he then asked Anya.

"It's on me, seeing as I called this meeting." he reasoned.

He knew that the two of them didn't really need sustenence from this realm, but damned if they didn't have taste buds, and found of the food on the mortal plane to be pretty damn good.

Azazel nodded.

"Yes." he replied.

"That would be great." he told her as they approached the bar.

The man there just smiled at them.

"Hello, hello." he greeted them.

"Hey Cyril." Azazel replied.

"What can I get for ya?" Cyril then asked them.

A man that was over 6 feet tall and clearly built muscle in his free time approached.

"Yo." he said to her.

"This clown bothering you?" he asked, cracking his knuckles.

When she nodded, he responded by... picking the man up by the back of his neck.

"Right then." he muttered.

"Out the BACK door with you." he told him.

"It's where the vermin go." he reasoned, as he carried the cursing man away, with insults towards Anya thrown into the tirade.

"....." Azazel was silent as he sae her coming towards him... and saw the one that was there following her.

"However, before he could say anything, they heard the one that tended to the bar... and owned the place... speak up.

[b]"Oi!" he yelled.

"The lady said to mess off!" he told him.

"Now either get out of here now, and take the side door, or I'll have ol' Brian throw you out!" he added, Brian being a security guard/bouncer there.

Azazel then sighed.

"I hate people sometimes." he muttered to the woman when she was close enough.

He nodded in response.

"Yep." he said.

"Talk to you later." he told her.

"Have fun in the game." he finished, giving her a quick kiss.

He sighed as he approached the bar and looked at his watch.

"11 minutes." he said.

"Wonder if she's here already..." he mumbled, opening the doors to the bar and stepping inside, scanning for the woman he was meeting up with.

He just sighed in response.

"I.... I don't know." he mumbled.

"Really. I... I don't know." he said.

"I had, essentially, a nightmare." he told her. "Which is to say, I experienced a very vivid and disconcerting flashback while undergoing that little recharge period." he clarified.

"And I need someone to talk to about it." he continued.

"Specifically, one of a more... demonic persuasion." he went on.

"I'll explain more fully later, but I'm meeting with Anya to try and clear my head a little." he then said further.

"Not sure when I'll be back, admittedly."

He just sighed.

"I'm always aware of that." he said.

"Hasn't bothered me yet." he told her.

"Anyway, meet you there in 10." he finished.

With that, they ended the call, and he paused. He made his way to where his 'other half' was, and noticed she was in the middle of... not doing much. Just seemed like she was dealing with some inventory stuff.

He decided this was a good time, and tapped her on the shoulder to get her attention.

Azazel paused for a moment.

"...huh." he said.

"I didn't necessarily mean NOW, but I'm not opposed to it." he said.

'How about 'The Corner Oasis'?" he asked.

"We're both friends with the bar owner, and he knows what we are." he reasoned.

"Their stuff tastes good, too." he added.

"Oh, just wondering if I was going to see you at the Unit later." Azazel replied.

"I mean, we COULD meet up for drinks if you'd like." he said.

"I know this isn't the best time, but the flashback reminded me of... well... things." he went on.

"And we haven't really met up as friends in a bit." he said further.

"That's all."

Azazel just smiled a little.

"Heh." he chuckled.

"Yeah." he said.

"Thanks Anya." he said further.

"I'll see you..." he started to say further, before pausing.

"ARE you still under contract at the Unit?" he asked.

"I don't know if your current is up or not." he admitted.

Azazel bit his lip slightly.

"...I do." he replied.

"I don't want anything like that to happen to those I care for." he told her.

He was then silent again, before sighing.

"Anyway, I'll... go and calm down, write this is a journal." he then said.

"Sorry for bothering you." he apologised.
