Darrell just sighed and waited.

Sebastien then came home, looking a little worse for the wear.

"You okay?" he asked.

"Not sure." Sebastien replied.

"Just feel a little weird." he said.

"That's a bit concerning." Darrell responded.

"I'm sure it's nothing." was the response that was given.

"...." Darrell was silent as she said what she did and left.

He couldn't deny she was right.

And she was smart enough to know that it would be trouble if she DID actively go for his roommate.

So why did he get the distinct feeling she was trying to charm Sebastien?

It made no sense.

"...damn it." he muttered.

"The hell does all this mean...?" he asked himself.

"Am I goin' nuts or something...?"

"Don't treat me like a naive fool." he replied.

"You know as well as I do it's something that ALL vampires innately have." he told her... though, truth be told, that was still under debate in the Triad.

"And I'm a vampire too." he said.

"I can tell when it's being used." he continued.

"And it seems like you're puttin' the moves on Bast." he went on.

"What, like 'im or something?" he then asked.

Darrell sat down beside her on the couch.

"Fair enough." he said.

"Means he'll be back soon" he reasoned.

"And yeah, really IS underappreciated." he then agreed, opening the can of lemonade.

"Welp, may as well ask this." he then said further, taking a drink.

"What's with you puttin' the charm on Bast?" he asked.

"And I mean the vampire charm." he clarified.

"....Jordan, I was joking." Darrell said.

"I already said I'd cover for you." he went on, before shaking his head.

"THIS is why I can't follow in Mom and Dad's footsteps." he then muttered.

"I can't even tell a JOKE properly." he sighed.

After about 10 minutes, she saw her brother show up, looking for something to drink.

"Hey." he greeted her.

"Where's Bast?" he asked.

"I got something he wanted, wanna give it to him." he continued, making his way to the fridge.

"Also, what's on the tube!?" he called to her further.

"Oh, if you empty something, we expect YOU to replace it." Darrell told her.

"...unless it's over 5 bucks." he then muttered.

"Or... there was only a little bit left, anyway..." he then said further.

"Regardless, I'll cover for you in most cases." he assured her.

"And that's for things like condiments and milk and stuff." he continued.

"Anything with a small round green sticker on it is mine, feel free to take whatever you want of that." he told her. "Something with a red round sticker on it is HIS." he then explained.

"Try not to eat any of those." he laughed.

"But communal stuff like spices and condiments and all that are always fair game."

Darrell thought for a moment.

"The green mug is HIS mug. Nobody else drinks from it." he said.

"Do NOT go in his room. He likes his privacy." he went on.

"Try and be super quiet when someone has gone to bed..." he listed off.

"Oh, and if you finish something off... anything... replace it." he finished.

"Beyond that, it's pretty lax here." he shrugged.

Darrell just shrugged.

"I don't judge." he said.

"Anyway, plate up." he told her.

"We'll eat here in the kitchen." he said further.

"I've talked to him about it, and he's cool with you staying here for however long, of course." he went on.

"Just be warned." he then said.

"He'll tie up the bathroom for an hour or so in the morning. Like Dad does."

"He's pretty chill." Darrell replied.

"Smells bad at first, but you get used to it." he told her.

"But yeah, he's pretty laid back and chill." he went on.

"Takes things at a super-relaxed pace and likes the simpler things in life." he continued.

"Says it's his father's influence." he chuckled.

"Bye-bye." he responded as she left.

When she stepped into the kitchen, she saw all the food had been unpacked. The biscuits, the chicken, the fries, everything.

"Hey." Darrell greeted her.

"So." he said.

"Whatcha thing of Bast?" he asked her.

"That's... what I call him privately. He doesn't like to be referred to as such."

Sebastien just sighed when she said the last part.

"That's just... her first impression." he said.

"She's..." he went on, before sighing again.

"Okay, she IS a bit freaky, I admit." he went on.

"But given who she is and what she's been through, she DOES have reason to be." he continued.

"Yo! Food's unpacked!" Jordan then heard Darrell call to her.

"The context is how cool of a sister you are, mostly." Sebastien replied.

"And perhaps you've met my father or my aunt." he went on.

"My father is Alexandre LeBlanc." he continued.

"Meaning my aunt is Aimee LeBlanc." he said further.

"So yes, I AM half-demon." he confirmed.

"...." he was silent, before looking at her.

"Ah." he said.

"Yes, I can tell." he commented.

"Or... well, you're good at concealing it, I should say." he then clarified.

"But still. It's very nice to meet you." he told her.

"Darrell's spoken quite well of you."

The man just laughed.

"I never am." he replied.

"On the other hand, I'm not like most people." he told her.

"I am... human, but at the same time, not." he said further.

"Techinically, by old-world rules, I am a sin against nature itself." he then added.

"But I'm sure that's far too heavy of a topic for a first meeting."
