I see people debating that humans eat spicy things for the endorphins, or because they have antibacterial properties... maybe it's both. maybe it's maybelline.
roller coasters and horror movies: definitely the endorphin thing. The thrill of something scary while also knowing you're actually safe.

I tried looking up whether other animals seek out spicy things for enjoyment.. all I could find is a few animals that eat spicy things because they don't taste it or are less sensitive to it.

Peppers, trying their hardest to make people not want to eat them by being all hot and stuff. Humans, deciding this only makes them more delicious.

@vitreus: I did bake them... Hadn't thought of that, will have to remember in the future!
@koneko: Yeah, I heard the cheese cools them down, kinda the same effect as drinking milk when eating spicy food. It work great lol

I need to figure out a good way to make jalapeno poppers. I discovered those are not too spicy for me and are, in fact, delicious... but last time I tried, the stuffing kinda bubbled out and made them a mushy liquidy mess. Albeit a tasty one.

Super spicy food is definitely not for me. When it reaches a point where you're feeling heat rather than appreciating flavors, count me out.

That's what I thought. It's not even a little squash. i'll probably just wait til i have the kitchen to myself and use the oven...

this thing (big butternut squash) says poke holes in it and microwave for like 4 minutes thinkingemoji.jpg
i mean i guess as long as it gets soft enough to put in the blender it doesn't matter too much; i'm gonna mix everything together and then put it in a pot and cook it more anyway
