Levi just growled, and Jack just sighed.

"Right." Vincent said.

"Sydney, let us do this." he told the woman he had arrived with.

"Come on." he told her, as they mixed their manas together, and formed a powerful portal.

"In you go." he told the quartet.

Levi just sighed deeply.

"Oh well." he said.

"A couple centuries more won't make much of a difference." he sighed.

"........" Jack was silent, as Vincent stepped forward.

"You can let Sydney take you back without a fuss, or I can get involved more personally." he told them.

"And might I remind you... that was one of my DAUGHTERS you just killed." he reminded them ominously.

"You IDIOT!" Levi bellowed.

"You absolute complete and utter MORON!" he shouted.

"Not even the Fyrane I fought was THIS foolish!" he exclaimed.

"Look, I know." Jack growled.

"Listen, we need to figure out what we're going to do before it's-" he then started to say, before they suddenly felt Vincent and Sydney's presence off to their side.

"-too late." Vincent finished.

Sydney then saw something in Vincent's eyes.

She saw the wrath of God.

"...I am going." he told her.

"And you need to come with me." he said further.

Meanwhile, Jack was looking at Alice's dead body, and his eyes widened.

".....well. Fuck." he cursed, as he felt the other Bringers arriving.

And he knew they would not be happy with him.

After a few seconds, the door was opened, revealing Vincent.

"Hello, Sydney." he greeted the guest.

"What is it?" he asked her.

"Still wondering how to go about this Bringer business." he muttered.

"Now..." Jack said ominously.

"You feel your life slipping away... you grasp your own frail mortality." he told her.

"But you... you deal with that every day. And yet you still think you're above it all." he snarled.

"....KNOW YOUR PLACE!" he yelled suddenly, opening his eyes... a sharp crimson glow piercing into her... and cutting her life.

"DON'T CONDESCEND ME!" Jack snapped, suddenly becoming solid and stepping forward.

"I AM MORE THAN YOU COULD EVER COMPREHEND." he told her, grabbing her throat.

"AND YOU ARE NOTHING MORE THAN A FRAIL MORTAL!" he yelled, lifting her up.

"I WILL PROVE THAT TO YOU ONCE AND FOR ALL!"
Posted in Bringing Ragnarok Posted 6 years ago
"Natural!?" Jack exclaimed.

"You mortals no NOTHING about the natural order!" he told her.

"Death is an inevitability! It is something that comes to ALL!" he went on.

"Yet you all try your damndest to spit in the face of natural order!" he continued.

"HOW do you even reconcile that!?"
Posted in Bringing Ragnarok Posted 6 years ago
"You." Jack replied.

"You and your infuriating stubbornness." he told her.

"You're more persistent than that damn lantha was." he went on.

"Even HE knew when to give up." he snarled.

Her efforts were appreciated and commended by those she loved, and loved her.

But her efforts were also garnering another's attention.

One that was NOT appreciative of them.

As such, when she was tending to her critical patients, a figure approached her.

"Why struggle?" he asked.

"It's pointless. Nothing stops ME."

Lindsay was silent as Alice said what she did and disappeared.

"...hmph." he muttered.

"Doesn't seem like anything can stand up to them now." he said.

Meanwhile, Ash was dwindling, and fast.

He was barely alive, and it seemed like he kept slipping into a state of half-alive at times.

It wasn't good, to say the least.
Posted in Bringing Ragnarok Posted 6 years ago
"Go." Lindsay replied.

"I'll... I don't know." he said.

"I don't know, any more." he admitted.

"This seems hopeless now." he finished.
Posted in Bringing Ragnarok Posted 6 years ago
Lindsay's face paled.

"....no..." he said quietly.

"No, it can't be." he muttered.

"No, I can't... no..." he said further.

"I refuse to lose Samantha, too..."

"Yes." Lindsay replied before hanging up.

Less than a minute later, he was in her office.

"Tell me." he said.

"Flat out, tell me." he told her.

"Her condition, and if she's going to make it."
