Rene raised an eyebrow.

"Oh?" he asked.

"How generous." he said with a smirk and a chuckle.

"I can only assume things went well in court." he then commented.

"How badly did you crush the other side?" he asked with a laugh.

Rene jumped a little when Kalin responded, but shook it off.

"Ah, hello." he replied.

"And it was... tiring." he said.

"Had one emergency, but... dealt with it." he continued.

"I'm also sick of people thinking they're entitled to have an appointment with me because of social standing or some bullcrap." he then growled.

"I hate entitlement."

She received no answer in response... which meant he was still at the hospital. She didn't hear water running, nor did she see his shoes off to the side. So she decided to just make herself at home, and relax.

However, she had only been there for about 10 minutes, before she heard the door.

"Ugh!" she then heard Rene groan.

"What a day!" he exclaimed.

"I'm gonna ask Kalin if it's okay to just order in tonight." he mumbled to himself, clearly unaware she was already home.

"Goodbye!" Vincent called to her, as Everett passed her, on his way to Vincent.

"Heh." he chuckled.

"The kitten bares her fangs and claws again." he said.

"Keep it up." he said further.

"The courtroom is your hunting ground. Show them how fierce you are." he went on.

"Show them to fear you." he finished, continuing on towards Vincent.

"Keep it up." he told her.

He then paused for a moment, seemingly unsure about something... before sighing.

"You do your mother proud." he said.

"And I mean that sincerely."

Ryker almost melted again from the hair thing, but shook it off.

"Gotcha!" he called back.

He then looked at Eke, and smiled.

"All right." he said.

"Ready to get this show on the road!?" he asked enthusiastically.

"I do." Vincent replied.

"....." he was then silent for a moment.

"You have tenacity and ferocity." he told her.

"Never let those go." he said.

"Keep those with you at all costs." he went on.

"They define who you are." he told her further.

"They'll help you push forward in life."

"Indeed." Vincent replied.

"It seemed like she hired the best her family could afford." he sighed, referring to the plaintiff.

"Just because she didn't do the work and received a failing grade." he lamented.

He then shook his head lightly.

"Regardless, thank you." he said.

"You proved my innocence beyond a shadow of a doubt."

Vincent looked less than impressed.

"I certainly hope not." he said.

"I wasn't expecting this." he admitted.

Sure enough, the case came and went, and Kalin had proven his innocence beyond a shadow of a doubt.

"Thank you very much, miss Kiczys." he told her. Her name had been given earlier, and it seemed like he was familiar with it, but didn't say anything.

"Everett couldn't have done much better, himself."

After a bit, she saw the man.

She knew it was him from the photos she'd seen.

And he seemed to be looking for someone.

Someone that he wasn't finding.

And he looked confused and irritated by it.

"....." Everett was silent as she left.

"All right, Kalin." he then said quietly.

"Let's see if you have what it takes to save Vincent." he went on.

"....." he went silent once more, before looking at his computer.

"And Vincent... you'd better not be taking us for a ride." muttered further.

"But I know you... you're not one to do that."

"Curiosity." Everett responded.

"I mean, I like to think we're in the range of being friends now." he chuckled.

"I just wanted to ask you how things were moving." he went on.

"That's all." he shrugged.

"Anyway, get a move on." he told her.

"You have work to do."
