"The laptop isn't University property, so there's not much WE can do about it." they replied.

"If the laptop is under warranty, then you should take it to get repaired, and contact city police about it." they told her.

"The worst we can get them for is indecent behaviour and ruining the bed." they went on.

"But we'll have them out of here as soon as we can wake them up." they continued.

"...looks like it might take a while, so can we get a statement before you're on your way?" they asked her.

"I'm willing to bet you don't want to be around them, or here, for the time being."

Sure enough, nobody left the room, and campus security arrived.

They stepped inside, and sighed when they saw what they did.

"...lovely." they muttered.

"Oh, God..." she then heard, before they poked their head out of the room.

"Are they... on your bed?" they asked.

Kalin nodded.

"Yeeeeeah, you're not going to want to use that anytime soon." they muttered.

"We'll have them escorted out of the building, and... the janitorial staff come in here."

"Later!" Rene called to her as she left.

When Kalin returned to her dorm, she found out a number of things.

The first was that her laptop was there.

The second was that it appeared to be damaged.

And the third was that there was a pile of about 4 people on her bed... her roommate and three boys, and they all looked like they had passed out from sheer unadulterated pleasure.

Also, the fact that they didn't appear to be wearing anything helped her determine what might have happened while she was away.

Rene chuckled.

"I got a few ideas." he said.

"Depends on what you're in the mood for." he told her.

After they'd eaten, Rene dropped her off at her dorm again.

"Right." he said.

"You and I both know there's a strong chance that laptop will be gone." he told her.

"On the off chance she returned it to try and hide evidence or something, reapply the coating to your hands." he suggested.

"And I have a garbage bag in the glove compartment if you want it."

Rene just laughed.

"It's definitely handy." he said.

"Usually it's for precision work when dealing with chemicals, and your bare hands are needed. But gloves are a little too cumbersome." he went on.

"Buuuuut this works, too." he reasoned.

"Now, odds are she'll probably have some of her followers paw at it and crap, so with luck, we'll get more than just her." he told her.

"But if we don't, then just taking down the ringleader should cause the rest of the organization to start to crumble."

Rene smirked.

"Perfect." he said.

"I can call you and you can act like you're in a hurry." he told her.

"Gives you a reason to just leave it and split." he continued.

"Anyway, get moving." he then said.

All the while, he was thinking about how Kalin called it a 'date'... and finding that he was... not entirely opposed to the idea.

'...huh.' he thought.

Rene nodded.

"Yeah." he responded.

"You do that." he told her.

"This SHOULD work." he went on.

"People like your tormentors are predictable." he continued. "Odds are they won't even think twice about this." he chuckled.

"But this should work perfectly." he assured her.

"And when it does, you'll be able to continue and finish your schooling unhindered."

Aly just smiled, and leaned in close.

"Eke..." she said.

"I know what you're trying to say." she whispered.

"And I feel the same way." she admitted.

"I also know the... challenges... that come with it." she continued.

"However, I've been working on something that... well... may be able to help..." she then said, blushing slighty.

"Time flies." Rene said in response.

"Anyway, I think you've proven that you're healed enough to not need to stay here any longer." he told her.

"Rearranging can be intensive work." he reasoned.

"And you've just proven that you can handle it and just break a sweat." he continued.

"So... yeah, seems like you're being released to live on your own again, should you desire." he reiterated.

"For however long that lasts." he added.

Rene sighed.

"I know." he replied.

"But... I dunno, I just never got around to it." he shrugged.

"If you want to set one up, go ahead." he chuckled.

"Anyway, you get to worse, and I will too." he told her.

"Tomorrow, we'll get a niiiiice new shiny expensive laptop." he finished, chuckling darkly.

"Excellent." Rene responded.

"In the meantime, I have some plans to make." he told her.

"If you want, feel free to use the desktop I have here." he then said.

"It's my main computer, but if the laptop is borked, then I'll let you use the other one here in the meantime." he continued.

"Yup." Rene responded.

"Also, I'd like a picture of her." he said.

"As well as any known accomplices she may have, or partners in crime, or anyone else she might work with that torments you." he told her. "If she's the ringleader of it all, then I may very well be able to take a lot of them down in one fell swoop." he continued.

"Enough that any stragglers will probably leave you alone, once the numbers are thinned." he added.

As he spoke, Kalin could hear the warrior inside him. Not a brutish warrior that charged into battle for guts and glory, but a tactician that new how to divide, conquer, and formulate strategies for winning.

It was hard to believe he was a doctor now, almost.

"To you? No." Rene replied.

"These days I've mellowed out from the extinction thing, to trying to help those that are good humans get by and achieve their dreams and stuff." he told her.

"Those that want to make the world more toxic... I bleach out of existence." he said with another grin.

"Those people that are barring your path to success and trying to outright kill you? They have NO idea who they've messed with." he continued.

"You said the ones doing this to you, their families have fingers that extend far?" he asked.

Kalin nodded.

"Well, that doesn't mean a thing to 'The Doc'." Rene responded confidently.

"...that's a long story." Rene muttered after a pause.

"But... time is something you have plenty of right now." he admitted.

"You read how the lantha were mostly wiped out in a war against the draydin, yeah?" he asked. "And how it pretty much wiped out both sides?" he asked further.

Kalin nodded.

"Well, what the book DOESN'T tell you is how humans manipulated both sides into the conflict, in an attempt to get us to kill ourselves, so they could sweep in and take the remainder out." he told her.

"It didn't work. They underestimated how strong the individuals in the army were." he went on.

"I vowed revenge against the human race, and embarked on a quest to make THEM extinct, much like they tried to do to US." he told her. "However, I didn't blend in." he said.

"And to cut out a LOT of details, I met someone who bound me to this form, and they taught me that not ALL humans are bad. So I abandoned the 'extinction of the human race' plan, and now just live among them." he finished.
