Once he saw that her eyes were closed, he sighed.

The two of them were suddenly engulfed in a large orb of water that surrounded them... and no sooner had it appeared, did it disappear, along with them. The bubble then appeared in a room somewhere, and when it popped, Rene and Kalin were there.

He burst out of the room, and made his way down the halls... where he saw some medical professionals.

"Gangway!" he declared.

"I need an operating room, I need assistants, and I need them NOW!" he told them.

"And when I say 'NOW', I mean '5 minutes ago'!" he barked.

Immediately, Rene had questions.

A lot of them.

"Kalin." he said.

"I need to get you to the hospital." he told her.

"However, I don't think the ambulance will get you there in time." he admitted.

"...I need you to trust me on this. Just... close your eyes, and don't pay attention to if things get wet suddenly, okay?' he asked.

"I'll get you to the hospital, and save you." he promised her.

The colour drained from his face as he saw this.

"....oh, no..." he said in a hushed tone, before racing towards the young woman.

"Kalin!" he exclaimed.

"Kalin, are you alive!?" he asked her.

"Say something!" he continued.

"Please!"

Immediately, Rene was on the alert.

"Help!?" he exclaimed.

"Kalin, where are you?" he asked.

"Just tell me where you are." he continued.

'...I will get there ASAP.' he then thought.

It didn't matter the nature of the emergency, it sounded like time was a factor, and he had little to waste. So all he wanted to know was where she was.

"...my dorm..." Kalin managed to get out.

"I'm on my way." he responded.

With that, he hung up, looked around, and quickly disappeared into an alley... and within seconds, he had appeared just inside the building Kalin said she was in, and ran through the corridors looking for her specific dorm hurriedly.

The phone rang for longer than she would have liked, but it was still only about 5 seconds, before it was answered.

"Oh, hey Kalin." Rene said.

"Caught me just as I was headed out to lunch." he told her, confirming her timing.

"What's up?" he asked.

"Wanna meet up for lunch?" he asked her.

"My treat."

Rene nodded in response.

"Fair enough." he replied.

"Sounds like a plan." he told her.

"Well, I hope things go well for you." he continued.

"Just keep going, and smash that coursework, blazing your way to success." he went on.

"...." he was then silent, pausing for a moment and looking at the laptop for a second.

"As only you can." he finished.

Rene just laughed at her comment.

"Canadian, eh?" he asked.

"That's pretty neat." he said.

"...don't think I've ever been to Canada..." he then mumbled, mulling it over.

"Where are you from?" he asked her.

"And you plan to return there or stay in the states, or go elsewhere in the world?"

Rene just rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, you keep saying that." he said.

"And I keep telling you that you're not an imposition." he told her.

"But whatever keeps you feeling comfortable or what-have-you." he then said further.

"Just... you're not an imposition, you're not bothering me." he continued. "If you were, then I wouldn't have gone as far as I already have." he then assured her.

"That being said, you are free to do whatever you like, however you like." he added.

"So do whatever you think is best."

Aly just chuckled a little.

"Well, at least he's all right." she said.

Ryker then came upstairs with the cooler.

"Awesome." he muttered.

"Should do nicely."

Rene thought for a moment.

"Ahhhh..." he stammered.

"Hm." he mumbled.

"Probably alphabetically." he told her. "And probably by title." he then added.

"That's the simplest and most efficient way to do it, methinks." he reasoned.

"And if you enjoy doing things like that, go right ahead." he reiterated.

"I certainly won't get in your way." he chuckled.

"No, they're not just for decoration." Rene told her.

"They are useful, and I reference them semi-frequently." he said.

"I just... know where they are." he then admitted with a nervous laugh.

".....okay, I guess I see your point." he sighed.

"If you want to organise them, feel free." he told her.

"I won't stop you."

Rene just laughed.

"Yeah... yeah, my writing IS pretty bad." he admitted.

"But I AM a doctor." he said with a shrug.

"...but that's a copout, admittedly." he sighed.

"Also, they do?" he then asked, in regards to her comment about his books.

"How so?" he asked her.

"I mean, they're neat on the shelves and stuff." he added, scratching the back of his head.

"You're welcome." Rene responded.

"And oh?" he asked.

"Two things, eh?" he asked her.

"All right, I'll bite." he went on, going to the fridge for a drink.

"What are they?" he asked.

'...wonder what's up...?' he thought.

"Ah, yes." Rene muttered.

"At least you have that extension." he said.

"And you should finish setting up the laptop and such." he went on.

"But, the contract." he then said further.

"Go on and do it up. The laptop should be able to wirelessly connect to the printer I have." he explained.

"Excuse me, though. I must finish getting dressed." he then said, before disappearing into his room and shutting the door.
