Rene nodded, before pausing.

"I'm sorry?" he said.

"Your sister?" he asked further.

"Oh, I... I see." he went on.

"I'm sorry for your loss, then." he continued.

"But I'm glad it seems that you've moved on, at least."

Rene just sighed.

"I hate when I AM right about these things." he said.

"But yeah, even if you have just a year left, you can't be at your dorm." he told her.

"Hell, I have a really good relationship with the landlord representative at this building, I can maybe talk to them and get you an apartment in this building for the year, if you don't feel comfortable sharing this suite with me." he reasoned.

"However, for now, you ARE rooming with me." he insisted.

"You should NOT be alone in your current condition."

Rene just smiled back.

"Cool." he said.

"Hey, listen." he then said further.

"I know you want to finish your schooling, and believe me, I want you to, as well." he told her.

"However, I think this incident shows that if you continue to stay in your dorm, there's a very real chance that you'll be in school for the rest of your life, if you get my drift." he then commented.

"That being said, I don't recall you ever saying how much longer you have until you graduate." he went on. "Or if you did... I can't remember." he then admitted sheepishly.

"Depending on how long, you can either stay in my suite with me until then, OR I can try and find you a short-term rental somewhere, and I'll foot the bill for it. I have plenty of disposable income, so long as you're not going for another suite apartment." he went on, before pausing.

"...though I could easily afford THAT, come to think of it..." he mumbled with a small laugh.

"Anyway, something to think about."

"We'll be gone for a bit, yeah." Ryker responded.

"And as long as you're okay." he said.

He then paused for a moment, before smirking slightly.

"And sure thing." he told him.

"I'll take the time to make sure everything we need is in the RV." he finished.

"Bye for now!" he said, disappearing outside.

Aly just looked to Eke, and smiled at him.

"....I did." Ryker responded.

"Firstly, what was that noise?" he asked.

"Secondly, you all right?" he asked further.

"Thirdly, when do you want to get this show on the road?" he then inquired.

"I'll need to stop at the grocery store before we get some serious distance behind us, but we can leave pretty much ASAP."

"Cracked." Rene responded.

"But good." he said.

"If your condition doesn't worsen, I should be able to get you out of here tomorrow." he told her.

"I know you hate being stuck in a hospital." he said. "You've made that abundantly clear to me during the time we've known each other." he chuckled.

"However, if I AM to get you out of here tomorrow, odds are you're going to have to stay with someone that can monitor you and act in case things worsen." he then warned her.

"IE... me." he continued.

"That all right?" he asked.

"Yeah, don't laugh. Not yet." Rene said.

"And that's fair enough." he told her.

"But just because you bear the name of Kiczys, doesn't mean you know." he reasoned.

"I didn't want to make assumptions." he went on.

"Anyway, seriously, are you in any major pain right now?" he asked.

"And by that, I mean is it constant, and there, without you needing to do anything?" he clarified.

"...was wondering if you'd remember that..." Rene muttered.

"And... uh... well... see... hm." he mumbled.

"See, thing is... I'm not." he told her.

"Not... well, not REALLY..." he admitted.

"But I DO have use of mana-" he continued, before pausing.

"Ah, wait." he then said.

"You know of that side of the world?" he asked her.

".....I did." Rene responded.

He then shook his head.

"Damn it." he cursed.

"This time it's gone too far." he growled.

He then paused for a moment.

"Wait..." he said.

"Were you robbed?" he asked her.

"As in, was anything monetary or physical taken?" he clarified.

"Yeah." Rene replied.

"I.... volunteered for it tonight." he told her.

"No real reason." he said with a small cough.

"But ANYWAY." he quickly said further.

"Glad to see you're recovering." he commented.

"What the hell HAPPENED?" he then asked her.

The orderly smiled back, and finished up with Kalin.

They then excused themselves, and left.

Sure enough, about 5 minutes later, Rene stepped into the room.

"Hey." he greeted her.

"So you're up." he said.

"Good, good." he said further.

"How are you?" he asked.

"Well, that means you're recovering nicely." the orderly responded.

"And... how to properly thank Dr. Calder?' they asked.

"Hmmmmm." they mumbled, thinking about it.

"He's a massive fan of seafood. It is his favourite cuisine." they told her.

"So anything related to THAT is generally a surefire thing." they continued.

"But for now, just concentrate on recovering, all right?" they asked her.

"I'll let him know so he can come and visit you."

Ryker sighed as he started to look through the cabinets.

"All right..." he mumbled.

"I may need to make a list, pick up some stuff when we leave." he commented.

"Just some things to have and stuff." he went on.

"Also need to make sure I have everything else in the RV." he added.

"Hey Eke!" he then called to Eke upstairs.

"When y'wanna head out!?"

About an hour later, one of the orderlies stepped into the room, and noticed that Kalin was awake.

"Ah, Miss Kiczys." they said.

"You're awake." they commented.

"I'll be sure to let Dr. Calder know." they said further, as they started checking on her vitals and such.

"How are you feeling?" they asked.
