Yeah, I'm trying to quit too so I can encourage him. I dont usually eat red meats lately anyways, but a good portion of my recipes rely on ground beef so I'm gonna have to make some modifications xD
He's not requiring me to change anything of course, I just want to try

Yeah its not the best for cholestrol.. but it feels better to eat than greasy or fried foods. Thats kinda why he's leaned toward it, cause we still feel energetic after eating rather than lethargic and bloaty lol
He full quit red meats starting this week actually

Hahaha I've introduced my partner to restaurant-style ramen so I've been eating so much good ramen these days <3
He used to be a greasy burger boy, but now he's always wanting asian dishes like me lmao

LOL niiiice
Same xD I think severity doesn't matter much unless the condition is making a person non-functional

I'd say its more of a curiosity, less of a concern. I'd love to get tested so I can nerd out about how my brain works and study it like a crazy person xD
but its expensive, and doesn't affect how I live my life since I already feel like I have a decent grip on myself. So I'll just wonder <3
But yes, not everyone responds to these things the same, and severities may differ too. Also notable that there may be undiagnosed conditions that make symptoms worse/less functional. I have a friend who's ADHD is pretty debilitating, and I highly suspect there may be more to his brain than that, especially since his (far too strong dose of) meds aren't helping with some of the symptoms.

Yeah my mother says that a doctor suggested I have both adhd and mild aspergers, but they didn't put it on paper cause I was functional enough that they didn't want the idea of it to haunt me or affect my life. Something like that idk. I was too young to understand xD
They also suggested nonverbal reading disorder but idk, cause that literally just sounds like adhd. I haven't figured out the difference.
Sometimes I have trouble reading context from people, but I understand emotions and have a ton of empathy. So in that way, idk if aspergers would be written off or if it doesn't always suggest a lack of emotional understanding. I haven't researched it as much lol

You're all good! :D
Honestly, if adhd/autism ARE genetic disorders, it makes a lot of sense why there are so many cases these days. The current lifestyle (especially in the US) is a little intense for many people, to say the least.
That, and before the 80's they didn't acknowledge that adults could have adhd, hence people thinking it was a lie for forever xD

@0v7:
Yeah, I assume the chemical balance in the brain is very similar between the two, but different enough that they are still very different disorders O:
a lot of the symptoms can be very similar, I think I read somewhere that it can sometimes be hard to tell the difference between the two lol Especially in more mild cases. (I could be wrong, I dont remember where that source was)

@0v7:
Yeah, the studies I read suggested that it MIGHT be a nervous system disorder by genetic cause (which would also suggest lifestyle/upbringing could have caused it in some manner of way), but that's not proven to be factual or not. There aren't many studies going on for it these days xD
Autism has the same theory too.
I thikn I read something about it being connected to a low level of dopamine in the brain too, or something? idk, its all interesting to me

Right, exactly! A lot of these sort of connect with each other, but that doesn't mean that they aren't separate things. If that makes sense xD
Here's a little relevant blurb from my paper
“Roughly 80 percent of those with ADHD are diagnosed with at least one other psychiatric disorder sometime in their life,” as written by ADDitude magazine.
Depression
Anxiety
Obsessive-compulsive disorder
Oppositional defiant disorder
Learning disabilities
Language disabilities
Fine and gross motor difficulties
Executive function difficulties
Tic disorders
Among other types of psychiatric disorders. ADHD has a lot of secondary problems--also known as comorbid conditions--which may be triggered by experiences with their primary disorder. The frustrations and embarrassments that ADHD may cause when trying to function in the normal world. Feedback from others can have a large impact on those, especially children, who suffer the symptoms.
Sometimes, symptoms of ADHD can end up being from one of their secondary conditions, rendering treatments potentially less effective.

In hindsight I probably could have elaborated more, or more clearly, but I hate writing a cohesive 5 pages. Stuffs hard on my brain lmao
